Newly renovated townhouse on a lovely street in the old part of Olvera. Within easy walking distance of shops, bars and restaurants. The roof terrace has stunning views of the church, moorish castle and countryside

Downstairs single bedroom, upstairs sunny and bright double bedroom with plenty of storage space and views over the surrounding countryside. The double bedroom has an air-conditioning unit. Brand new en-suite shower room to the double bedroom with wc, wash basin and shower cubicle. Large bathroom with wc, wash basin bath/shower over and bidet. Both enjoy views over the beautiful countryside. Bright and sunny kitchen/dining room. French windows open onto a small balcony overlooking the street at the front of the house. Cosy living room with sofa,satellite TV, DVD player and Bang and Olufsen sound system. There is a large selection of CDs, books, and information on the local area for you to use.

The Andalucia region

Olvera is the perfect base for you to explore this beautiful unspoilt area of Andalucia. There are many places to visit within an hour’s drive including Seville, Jerez de la Frontera, Ronda and Antequera. If you don’t mind driving a little further you can visit Cordoba, Cadiz or Malaga. Closer to home, the stunning villages of Grazalema, Zahara de la Sierra, Setenil de las Bodegas and Montajaque are well worth exploring.


Olvera is known as “the King of the Pueblo Blancos” (white towns) and it was declared a Protected Area of Artistic and Historical Importance in 1983. It has all the amenities you will need to enjoy your holiday including numerous shops, banks, internet cafe, bars and restaurants. There is also a municipal swimming pool and bar which is open during the summer months. Olvera has a good choice of restaurants serving good local produce at very reasonable prices.

If you want to be energetic, you can enjoy walking, cycling, mountain biking, horse riding, hang gliding or canoing and more. If you prefer to take things a little easier, what about painting, bird watching or pottery - there's plenty of activities to suit everyone. Or you may want to do no more than sit outside a bar with a glass of wine watching the locals go about their business (one of my own favourite pastimes!). We can arrange some activities for you - let us know your requirements and we will do our best to help.The countryside is varied and stunning with olive groves, rolling hills, lakes, mountains and woodland. Olvera is also the starting point for the Via Verde de la Sierra (green way) one of the many disused railway tracks across Andalucia which have been renovated for use as walking, cycling and horse-riding routes. Bicycle hire is available from the hotel at the start of the route, or you can enjoy an escorted ride on one of the horses from the riding stables next to the hotel.

Fiestas are very important in Olvera, and in Andalucia in general. The Easter processions are a spectacle not to be missed and then there is Lunes de Quasimodo (the Monday following Easter) where there is a procession to the local ermita and all the locals enjoy a day (and night!) of eating drinking, dancing, parading on horseback and generally enjoying themselves. Corpus Christi in June where all the streets in the old town are decorated, the main feria at the end of August, Three Kings in January and lots more! It is an unforgettable experience to join in with the locals and practice your Spanish! You will be made to feel very welcome.
