The Olu Deniz area

Ovacik is a small mountain village with a number of shops, small hotels bars & restaurants. The larger village of Hisoronu is a 20 minute walk or 5 minutes by 'dolmus'. Here you will find many shops, bars & restaurants catering to every taste & budget and a thriving night life. A number of cash machines and a post office is located in Hisoronu.
Fethiye is a lovely market & harbour town offering an even greater number of shops, banks and restaurants. An amphitheatre can be found at the far end of the shopping area opposite the harbour. Overlooking the town is Fethiye's crumbling castle and rock tombs. A huge weekly market is also held here every Tuesday.

The Olive Grove is a 45 minute drive from Dalaman airport. A number of car rental companies are sited at the airport. Taxis are also available on arrival at Dalaman. However we arrange airport transfers for guests at a much lower cost, should guests require us to. Most UK charter companies sell 'ticket only' seats from almost all UK airports to Dalaman and often at very low prices, particularly if outside the school summer holiday period.
We can also arrange car hire on a daily/weekly basis from the Olive Grove or from Dalaman airport at an extremely competative rate.

“Beautiful olive grove resort” My husband and I have visited the Olive Grove on many occasions in recent years, and we go back again and again. Paul and Helen, indeed all the staff, always make us so welcome, and going back to the Olive Grove is almost like going home after all these years. The apartment is spotlessly clean and freshly furnished, with wonderful views across the pretty gardens and the pool to the mountains in the west. The Olive Grove is a small development, built on the mountain above Fethiye, hence it is slightly cooler in the hot summer months when temperatures at sea level can become uncomfortable. Most of the original olive trees have been retained and are a feature of the gardens. Local transport to/from the beach or the town is very good. There are plenty of good local restaurants, although there is an Olive Grove bar for drinks and snacks and regular "special" supper evenings. We love it and thoroughly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a smaller, but nonetheless beautiful, resort area with personal care and attention from their hosts, ie Paul and Helen.

“Property, resort and people all exceeded expectations.” We stayed at the Olive Grove in August 2011. Overall the whole experience was excellent. Booking privately online can bring about various concerns but the continued communication and information from the owners was reassuring and extremely useful. They arranged our transfers to and from the airport, even returning the price difference as they managed to get a cheaper deal with the cab firm. Not many would do that. Arriving at the property, we were extremely pleased as the location, condition and comfort were absolutely ideal. Throughout our stay, the owners (who live locally) made sure we had everything we needed and gave us all the information we needed regarding the surrounding area and main attractions, including restaurant info that only locals would know! The Olive Grove complex is very clean and has a superb pool. No problem with securing a sun-bed and if you fancy an afternoon drink, the onsite bar/café is an ideal place to relax with a cool drink and a snack while you have a break from the sun. There are some bars and restaurants within easy walking distance from the property as well as small supermarkets for the essentials. Hisaronu and Olu Deniz are just a short Dolmus ride away and with very cheap fares, the Dolmus is an ideal way to get around and enjoy a car free holiday. This is a rather reluctant review as we'd rather keep this little gem of a location to ourselves. We had an excellent 2 weeks at the Olive Grove and look forward to returning again very soon.

“Fantastic” We loved it so much, we booked as soon as we got home for next year. My kids who are 14,11 and 8 said it was the best holiday they have ever had. The villas are set in beautiful gardens and the views are breathtaking. Everyone on the complex is friendly, and on staying here,, I can see why they come back year after year. The complex has a lovely little bar area, and is run by Ramos and his family whom nothing is too much trouble.The food is fresh and he holds various b-b-qs 2 nights a week, which are fantastic, and great value for money. Ramos will also arrange the free taxi/bus to take you to the local beaches in the day, or the restaurants at nightime. The owners Paul and Helen are so friendly and arrange all the airport transfers, and meet you personally at the villa, and pop to complex frequently to check everything is ok. We recieved lots of friendly advice via e mails prior to staying which gave us lots of information about days out and what to do in the local area. Another plus is that you dont have to leave the complex until your flight is due, which is a godsend with kids and luggage in tow. The town of Hirosonu is only a 15 min stroll away, but I had a job prising the kids away from the compex,and pool, as they loved it there so much. We went on a few day trips which included jeep safaris, and boat trips which we booked directly with the company in town, and they were fantastic days out which the kids still talk about (about £6 a child which included lunch) If you want a stress free,relaxing holiday, then this is the complex to stay on. We made many friends there and we are looking forward to returning next July. Highly recommended.

“Fantastic” 1st visit to Turkey - great country with lots to offer. Appartment clean and well proportioned. Pool large and restaurant/cafe freindly with great choice of food and drink. Helen & Paul who own this property went out of their way to ensure we were made welcome and gave us lots of hints and tips of places to visit and what not to do etc. Can not fault the place or the people. Have already booked for next year. +++++++

“Lovely apartment on excellent complex” This apartment is extremely well equipped and comfortable. The complex it is on is truly wonderful with beautiful gardens. There is a large pool with plenty of sunbeds available and a pool bar where you can have lunch or an evening meal and where alcohol is also served. There is also a tennis court and pool table. Ovacik itself is between the small town of Fethiye and the beach area of Olu Deniz. Fethiye is a lovely town with a harbour and plenty of shops to brouse around. Olu Deniz has a beautiful beach and also a lagoon which is truly stunning and must be one of the most photgraphed places in Turkey. Both Olu Deniz and Fethiye are a short dolmus ride from the apartment. There are plenty of restaurants in walking distance of the apartment and also many more in nearby Hisaranou.

“Couldn't have asked for more..” I came to the Olive Grove with 4 friends in July this year on a very last minute holiday. When booking the apartment Paul and Helen were very swift in replying to my emails and gave lots of information about the apartment and were also very helpful in organising the transfers to and from the airport. We arrived quite early in the morning and were greeted at the apartment by Paul which was really good. Paul and Helen were very helpful in all matters regarding day trips, recommending restaurants and giving advise on buses and taxis to the surrounding areas. The apartments and pool area were kept to a very high standard and set back from the road so that you couldn't see or hear any of the traffic and no one could see you unlike some of the other apartments in the area. All in all a very relaxing holiday, lovely apartment which was well looked after. Friendly staff and lovely area. Would definitely recommend.
