About the home

Diamond Villa was completed in June 2011. Our three large en-suite bedroom, triplex villa is stylishly furnished to the highest standard with air conditioning throughout. Along with the added advantage of a large private pool which has day long sunshine, it offers al-fresco dining on the terrace or watch the sunset from the first floor balcony enjoying magnificent views of the Babadag Mountain.

Beautifully located in Ovacik, Diamond Villa nestles between the world famous Blue Lagoon beach at Olu Deniz and Fethiye harbour both less than 15 minutes by dolmus (local bus). There are many activities such as paragliding, scuba diving and island boat trips.

Guests staying at the villa are welcome to use the facilities at the nearby 4* Orka Hotel Club. Facilities include restaurants, snack bar, cocktail and poolside bars. The hotel benefits from three swimming pools two outside, one with a slide and one indoor. There is evening entertainment which includes themed nights, and Turkish baths (all charges paid locally).

Diamond Villa is built over three floors. The ground floor is open plan with a well equipped kitchen, dining area and lounge area, leading onto a large outside terrace - superb for al-fresco dining. downstairs WC. The bright and airy lounge furnished with two large leather sofas, leather armchair, and matching coffee table, HD plasma television with satellite system and DVD player. The TV accepts laptop connection and features a USB port.

The first floor has two en-suite bedrooms. The first bedroom has a king size bed, double wardrobe with full length mirror, dressing table area and bedside cabinets. A large en-suite bathroom with generous walk in shower, modern sink and w.c. The second bedroom has twin beds, double wardrobe with full length mirror and bedside cabinets. A good sized modern bathroom with large walk-in shower, modern sink and w.c. Both bedrooms open onto spacious balcony where you can relax and enjoy the views over surrounding countryside in the relaxation area. Fantastic evening sunsets are not to be missed!

The second floor is a spacious family suite, with very large en suite facilities. This would comfortably sleep 4 people as it is furnished with twin beds and a double sofa bed. With ample storage facilities including wardrobes, drawers, dressing table area and bedside cabinets. The penthouse is completed with doors leading onto a terrace with breath-taking views.

The luxurious feel to the interior lends itself well to out of season bookings when perhaps more time is spent indoors. The fabric and furnishings are stylish and elegant and of a standard beyond that found in the usual holiday villa.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

Hisaronu is situated on the beautiful south west Lycian coast of Turkey, also known as the ‘Turquoise Coast’. This coastline is home to Olu Deniz beach, one of Turkeys’ most famous and most photographed beaches. At the far end of the beach you will find the Blue Lagoon set inside a national park area – the lagoon is very sheltered with still, warm waters perfect for safe swimming. Turtles can occasionally be seen swimming in the lagoon.

Fethiye is a lively harbour town with a lovely marina and promenade area. Every Tuesday there is a truly traditional Turkish market which is the largest of its kind in the area – a must for locals and tourists alike with its heady mix of exotic spices, teas, fruits, vegetables and of course Turkish delight. Traders come from far and wide to sell goods ranging from designer handbags and jeans to jewellery. Try your hand at haggling and grab a bargain – there are lots of restaurants and bars to sample here.

A few miles from Hisaronu is the ghost town of Kayakoy. Here are the remains of an abandoned town once inhabited by the Greeks after the War of Independance in 1922. With its hillside location you can spend time wandering around the various deserted houses and churches.

Tlos (36kms south of Fetihye), is the oldest city in the region and is home of the Lycian Hero Bellerophon. Here can be seen the remains of a castle, the theatre and Roman baths.

A absolute must is the Saklikent Gorge or the "Hidden Valley". This gorge is approx 18kms long with sides so steep sunshine is unable to reach the gorge floor, making the water ice cold, great for exploring and cooling off from the heat of the day. There are several riverside restaurants where you can have trout for lunch and relax after a walk through the gorge. For the more adventureous you can glide down river in a large inflatable ring carried along by the current, and then bathe in the mud flats covering yourself in the glorious clay with 'healing properties' a great laugh!

The Olu Deniz / Ovacik Heights area

Olu Deniz offers many beach side cafes and restaurants and all the usual watersports; parascending, pedaloes, banana boats and you can, if you dare, take part in tandem paragliding descending from the peak of Babadag mountain landing some 30 minutes later on the beach. Alternatively you can relax and sunbathe watching the world go by – the ultimate beach resort!

Hisaronu is located on a plateau 1000ft above sea level nestled under the breathtaking Babadag Mountain (Father Mountain) and this position helps keep summer temperatures more comfortable due to the fairly constant breeze. Our villa is situated in a quiet location, but only a seven minute walk to the resort centre. Here you will find numerous restaurants and bars offering International and Turkish cuisine. Everyone’s tastes are catered for, from lively nightclubs to small bars for drinks and conversation. There are also many shops to browse and very well stocked supermarkets for all your groceries. Situated in town are many excursion operators and car hire companies. Car hire can be arranged with our Management Company when you arrive at very competitive rates. We have used them on many occasions and have found them to offer a great level of service and value for money.

Charter flights to Dalaman airport in South West Turkey, are available May to October from numerous UK airports. Airlines include Thomson, Easyjet, Monarch, Thomas Cook, Pegasus, Onurair and Jet2.com. Also try Travel Republic or Skyscanner.

Private return transfers can be organised direct from Dalaman Airport. The driver will transport you to the villa, where you will be met by our management company representitive, who will show you around the villa and answer any questions. Transfer charges are payable locally. Journey time approximately 50 minutes.

“Beautiful villa!” Returned after 3 week stay in this beautiful villa. Peaceful location, but only 7-8 minutes walk down to main road where the Dolmus bus will take you to Hisaronu, Fetiye or Oludeniz. Well looked after by the mangement team from Hotel Orka Club. Enjoyed every minute of our holiday, and will definately be back!!

“Amazing villa, beautiful setting, our best ever holiday!!” This villa and holiday were so good, we booked it again for next year the day we got home! The owner, Irene, was absolutely brilliant to deal with, very helpful and provided us with lots of information prior to our stay in terms of eating out, places to visit etc, and also arranged for our airport transfers and delivery of hire car to the villa. Also, there is an English neighbour who lives there permanently, who is a valuable source of information and extremely helpful. This villa is absolutely stunning. Only a few years old, its modern, spotlessly clean, furnished to a high standard, with its own pool, ample room outside for a large family / group to sunbathe, enjoy a BBQ and kids to play safely. The pool is cleaned daily. The views from this villa, situated just above the town of Ovacik, are breathtaking. Located behind the villa are the stunning Babadag mountains, where you can watch the paragliders float down to Olu Deniz, or have a go yourself if you're brave enough!! The 1st floor balcony offers the ideal place to watch the sunset whilst enjoying a glass of wine or two. A fantastic bonus of this villa is the use of the Orka Club hotel, situated a short distance away, where the facilities are free to use. It's a high standard hotel, and great for a night out, as they put on a 'Turkish night' which is not to be missed. The food, entertainment and staff are brilliant. During our stay here, we ate out each night as a family at various restaurants in Hisaronu, Olu Deniz and Fethiye. The food was always fantastic, the Turkish people were incredibly friendly, and we found it to be very cheap, typically £60 total bill for a family of 5 including drinks and desserts. This was a fantastic holiday, and we cannot recommend this villa or this location highly enough.

“Excellent” I would just like to express how lovely this villa is. It is beautifully presented and has all the mod- cons that you require in your own villa. The pool is lovely and has also breathtaking views of the mountain range.(Although there are other properties around, you have your privacy, and you are not overlooked). It is a 5-10 minute walk from main shops and supermarkets where you can purchase all your essentials. There is also a very good, cheap taxi service available from the end of your villa drive which will take you anywhere. (as some of the side roads leading to the property are not suitable for people with walking difficulties). Local restaurants are terrific with all different menus to cater for anyones choice. I would recommend this villa to all and will definately go again.

Change over day;- Monday is the most popular change over day, however, we will try to accommodate other days if requested. This will be dependent on season. Bookings taken in the summer high and peak season will all be Monday to Monday change over.

Deposit;- A non-refundable deposit of £200.00 will be payable to secure booking.

Balance;- The outstanding balance will be due 8 weeks prior to departure date. Should the booking be within 8 weeks of departure, the full amount will be due for payment at time of booking.

Security deposit;- A £200.00 security deposit will be required either at the time of booking or at the time of balance. This will be refunded 14 days following satisfactory villa inspection.

Arrival/Departure;- The villa will be available from 16.00hrs on the day of arrival. The villa will need to be vacated by 12 noon on the day of departure to ensure sufficient time for cleaning.
