Light and airy with superb mountain views, Villa Turkuaz is in a quiet secluded location, yet just a 10 minute walk to the shops, restaurants and bars of Ovacik and Hisaronu. The area has something for everyone. Laze around on Turkey's most photographed beach, paraglide from Mount Babadag and see the Blue Lagoon in all its glory. Enjoy a thrilling jeep safari that visits Saklikent Gorge and some wonderful natural mud baths or take to the sea in a tradition gulet and sail along the turquoise coast. And of course, the Villa Turkuaz pool will keep you refreshed throughout your holiday.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

The locals boast that even in February you can ski in the nearby ski resort in the morning and swim in the Blue Lagoon in the afternoon. Not having tried it yet , we can say that the MacEwens, fell in love with the Turquoise coast on our very first holiday to the region. The climate is mild in the off season months and very hot in the height of the summer, however Villa Turkuaz benefits from a light breeze in the summer months that makes it extremely pleasant. There is so much to see for lovers of culture and nature. Ancient tombs, the ghost village of Kaya, Patara Beach - voted by the Sunday Times as the Best cultural beach in the world. The Lycian Way is also famed as being one of the world's top ten walks, perhaps for serious walkers only.

Olu Deniz area

Olu Deniz with its shops, restaurants and bars is not to be missed. The beach is called Belcekiz and features in every travel advert for Turkey. You can spend hours relaxing on the beach and watching up to 20 paragliders floating in the sky over the turquoise coast. Parasailing, waterskiing and other watersports are also available from Belcekiz beach. The dolmus minibuses run every 10 minutes from the end of the road near Villa Turkuaz so getting about the area is easy. However, it is great fun to hire a car, jeep or motor cycle for some off road exploring.

Ovacik and Hisaronu are resorts which are part of the Olu Deniz Municipality. Hisaronu offers visitors a more lively nightlife. There is a local fruit and vegetable market on a Monday.

Fethiye is a working town with an attractive port which is open all year round. It has wide variety of shops and restaurants and you can take the ferry across to Rhodes. There is a large Migros supermarket which will help you with all your self-catering needs, but don't miss out on a visit to the Fethiye market every Tuesday. It sells traditional turkish table linen, rugs, household goods as well as great bargains on fashion clothes and fresh fruit and vegetables.

- Fly to Dalaman - Villa Turquaz is a 1 hour 15 minute drive from the airport (55 km) - Cheap flights are available from www.charterflights.co.uk - The local dolmus (mini buses) run regularly and are cheap. Taxis are also available

25% deposit will be required at time of booking, payable by cheque or bank transfer, balance to be paid 6 weeks in advance of arrival. A £100 refundable security deposit should be sent with the balance and which will be returned to you within two weeks of your departure from the villa.

For lettings of more than 2 weeks, please contact the owner as discounts are available. The villa is also available for long term off season lets - ideal for walkers or those looking to explore the region as a possible retirement destination.

Price includes a mid stay and end of stay cleaning. Additional cleaning available on request.
