Quinta Do Mial – an eco-friendly, luxurious duplex self-catering holiday apartment located in a beautifully renovated farmhouse, in the unspoilt area of Seia, Central Portugal. Quinta Do Mial is perfect for those who prefer a relaxing holiday without being surrounded by other tourists.

The private, fully equipped, stylish holiday apartment is suitable for two people and makes an ideal tranquil / romantic getaway. The Quinta is surrounded by 13 acres of wildlife rich private land - a woodland to explore, meadow area's to relax in, and a stream, mini waterfall and a pond.

The stylish open-plan living room / kitchenette includes an antique dining table, comfortable sofa, log burning stove, fully stocked bookcase, including free cable tv and WIFI connection.

The fully equipped kitchenette includes a gas cooker, microwave, fridge, cooking pots and utensils, full dining set including wine glasses. A washing machine (should you need one) is available in the Quinta's utility room.

The calm, tranquil bedroom includes comfortable twin beds (bedding provided). The stylish pine wardrobe and chest of drawers provide plenty of storage space.

Pamper yourself in the luxurious bathroom which contains a superb walk-in power shower which, includes massage settings. Towels are included.

The nearest airports are Porto and Lisbon, which are approximately 2.5 hours drive in a car. Public transport is available to nearby towns; however, car hire is highly recommended as it will provide you with the freedom to explore the amazing surroundings.

Seia is situated on the northwestern slope of Serra da Estrela, the highest mountain range in mainland Portugal. Seia is a beautiful, rural and unspoilt part of Portugal and makes an ideal destination for people who like to get away from busy tourist areas.

Serra da Estrela, “Mountain Range of the Star”) is the highest mountain range in Continental Portugal. It is the westernmost constituent range and one of the highest in the Sistema Central. It includes mainland Portugal's highest point at 1,993 m (6,539 ft) above mean sea level at its highest point (the summit of the Pico mountain in the Portuguese Azores islands is higher, however). This point is not a distinctive mountain summit, but rather the highest point in a plateau, being known as Torre (“Tower” in English). Torre has the unusual feature of being a summit that is accessible by paved road. The peak has a topographic prominence of 1204 m and its parent peak is Pico Almanzor, in Spain. There is a ski resort at the summit, named Vodafone Ski Resort.

"Lovely place place to relax and enjoy Portugal"

We had a great stay at this beautifully renovated quinta. It has everything you need from a superb shower (solar heated), very comfortable beds to a well equipped kitchen. Klaus, the owner is a friendly guy who is really helpful. We will definitely go back if we have the opportunity.
