The Costa Blanca/Valencia region
We are approx. 45 mins drive from Valencia airport and 1h 10 mins from Alicante airport. Villa Del Arte is ideally situated for either those who want to explore the beautiful Valencian region or for those who simply want to relax and enjoy the wonderful surroundings in peace.
Oliva is a bustling little town situated between Gandia and Denia. The area offers a wide variety of things to do and places to visit. Explore the back streets of the old town, with its tiny winding streets, with bars, and the church. The history is phenomenal, and you can explore the Roman and Morrish past and learn about its rich through the museums, churches and monuments which abound in the old Christian and Arab quarters.
The archaeological museum, a 16th century former manorial home of historic and architectural interest in itself, houses exhibits from prehistory to the 16th century charting the region's domination by the Iberians, Romans and Moors.
Things to do and see:
Valencia city. - Valencia is only an hour's drive north with its excellent shops, restaurants, beautiful palm-fringed squares and stylish architecture. The Principe Felipe Arts and Science Centre has become one of Spain's most visited attractions since it opened in December 2001 - with its emphasis on inter-active exhibits, this makes a great day out for children and adults alike. A train service runs from Gandia to the city centre.
For golfing enthusiasts there is the famous Oliva Nova Golf Course. The course was designed by Seve Ballesteros, is reasonably priced and boasts an excellent clubhouse with restaurant. Nearby La Sella (Denia) & Javea golf courses offer excellent driving ranges and facilities. South of Valencia (45 minute drive) is the El Sela course which hosted the Spanish Open in April 2003.
Vergel Safari Park is about 15 minutes drive, twoards Denia.
Terra Mitica and Aqualandia theme parks 45 mins drive to Benidorm.
The beaches are amongst the best on the Costa Blanca, stretching for around 10 kms. with clean golden sands, they are never too crowded, and at certain times of the summer, offer street markets and craft markets of an evening.

"No Wireless, No Hot Tub and No Dishwasher as Advertised!"
Big villa, loads of rooms, accomodation ok, really bad illumination at night from side to side.
No Wireless, No Hot Tub, No Dishwasher and No Air Condition as Advertised! We've complained to Jamie, the owners son but he came with loads of excuses and told us to email his mum when we get back to London as of course no wireless.
- Lights go off at midnight so no NOISE after that. Also
- Neighbours do not like the villa people so any noise they will call the police as it was told by the owner and it has happened to us.
- Do not hire a chef of them as it was really expensive and food really poor.
- Cleaner hire twice only showed up once.
Villa was left ok but we havent got our deposit back and owner has not got back to us after sending us some normal pictures saying we left place is a state.
She is also very rude
This is totally untrue. These group of people left the property in a disgusting and dirty state. There indeed was a dishwasher in the kitchen as advertised. There was a hot tub in the garden as advertised. The air conditioning is in the lounge as advertised and not in the bedrooms as advertised, the bedrooms have fans as advertised. The chef was excellent the food of good quality and they all enjoyed it. There is wifi internet, but the best signal is from the main dining terrace. It is a huge property with large plot, and unfortunately the signal does not reach to the pool side. The lights are on in the garden and pool at night and are on a timer. They go off at 1.00 am. These people left the property in a really dreadful state. The property is provided on a self catering basis, and the property should be left in a good clean conditon., they left food all out in the kitchen, uncovered and open to attract flies and so on., it was in high summer when the temperatures are really hot, and food should never be left out, should be kept in the fridge at all times. The rooms had been ransacked. Dirt and debris all over the place., glasses and beer cans left in the gardens. Too many problems to list here., the cleaners had a huge job in cleaning up after these people. They left notes of thanks both to James and Steven for all the help they received on the holiday, and to book them in for the same time the next year!!! They were heavy drinkers and went knocking on James door, next door at 2 a.m to get them more beer!
They had loud music on all night long and upset the neighbours with the excessive loud noise and screaming from the women jumping in the pool at 3 and 4 in the morning. We deducted the excessive cleaning costs from their deposit as stated in the terms and conditons., when we sent photos of the damages and letters of complaint from our very nice neighbours to them, they decided to get nasty and write false reports. All in all a nightmare group of guests.

"The Perfect Setting"
The whole process of booking the villa was suberb & on arrival we were welcomed by the owner's son's who were so helpful & accomodating. We were a group of 20 adults celebrating my husbands 50th birthday. The villa is in a lovely location with beautiful views. The rooms are great & the pool was warm. The shops are about 5 mins away by car. The main attraction for us was a bar area with a barbecue & dining facilities so we could all meet up of an evening. A big thank you to Jamie & Stephen who went out of there way to look after us even ferrying us around on the night of my husbands 50th.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed your stay. Your group was most welcome and ideal holiday tenants. Hope we have the pleasure of seeing you again in the future. Thank you

"Great little find"
Our friends & family really enjoyed our trip and the accommodation ticked all the boxes for us, pool was too chilly for me but it was September. It is situated up in the mountains and was perfect for our walks and cycle rides. The trip into town or the beach wasn't too far to walk if your up for it but uphill on the way home! most of the time we just poodled there in our car. Views amazing, hosts accommodating. All in all good value for money.
Thank you. So glad you all enjoyed your stay at Villa del Arte. We look forward to welcoming you all back in the not too distant future. Best regards. Beverley Cottrell
