Casa Limones is located just five minutes' walk from a fabulous undeveloped beach, set in stunning countryside (campo) on the outskirts of the historic resort town of Oliva, the southernmost town in the province of Valencia. Visitors to the house describe it as one of Spain's best kept secrets. Quiet and peaceful, yet only five minutes' drive from the town, the villa has access to all amenities, including the local market for bargain hunting, and many excellent restaurants for eating out. For golfers, it's a real paradise – you're only four minutes' drive to Oliva Nova, one of the best and most challenging courses on the Mediterranean, designed by the darling of Spanish golf, Seve Ballesteros.
The villa benefits from its own private pool, with a shallow end perfect for the children. Leading from the living room is a terrace at the front of the house, and from the kitchen, at the rear, you enter a terrace with pergola overlooking the delightful pool. From the roof of the house, you get a panoramic view of mountains to the rear and the coastline and surrounding countrysides. Guests can eat in the dining room, but generally prefer to dine al fresco, enjoying a cool drink and superb cheap food bought from the local supermarkets. Fish and seafood are local specialities. With two double bedrooms, , one twin with right-angled bunk-beds and a fourth small single bedroom, Casa Limones is ideal for families, with plenty in the surrounding area to see and do during your stay. But it's the beach that most people wish to die for…just a few minutes' stroll through the orange groves and you arrive at one of the few stretches of the entire Mediterranean Spanish coast which is protected from any further development.

The Valenciana region
The southern part of Valencia province, from Gandia to Denia, is a delightful part of the Mediterranean, popular with the discerning visitor who seeks something different, and more peaceful from the brasher resorts of Benidorm or the Costa del Sol. For sun worshippers, it's ideal with a marvellous year-round climate, but for walkers you have the nearby mountains, cyclists love the challenge of the hllls, while golfers benefit from Oliva Nova, a terrific course, three minutes' drive from the house. (It also has a number of tennis courts for hire). For sailing fans, there's the local marina where you can charter a yacht or the sailing club on the beach where you can hire dinghies, katamarans and windsurfers.
The old town of Oliva, just a few minutes' drive from Casa Limones, is a place of wonderful historic interest. The two old churches, set in squares surrounded by narrow streets with their whitewashed houses, are well worth a visit, as is the Oliva Museum which tells the story of the town from its earliest days. The Church of San Roque, for example, used to be a mosque during the Moorish rule of Spain and the old rivalry is still celebrated in the town, albeit in good humoured fashion, every year during the Moros y Cristianos festival in July. Visit www.tourist-oliva.com for details of a range of festivals held in Oliva throuhgout the year.
