A stunning modern 7 bed villa, en-suite bathrooms in every room, Situated in a beautiful unspoilt rural location, the villa is on its own large site with a wooded valley below, planted with cork oaks, wild flowers and eucalyptus, which is available to explore. The site is on the edge of ‘The Costa Vincentina National Park’ which is a protected area.

The beaches are only 10 kilometres to the west, where there are many beautiful sandy coves and long stretches of stunning coastline. The local town of Odemira is only 3 kilometres away, and has many local cafes, restaurants and a range of shops. Several large supermarkets are within 5 minutes of the property. The area surrounding the Quinta is free of any high rise buildings or garish tourist developments.

The Southern Plains/Alentejo region

The Alentejo has been described as the "bread basket" of Portugal. Mainly agricultural it has a fantastic climate with year round sunshine but enough water to sustain tremendous growth. A sparsely populated area with little structured tourism, but a true Portuguese feel. Very friendly people. An uncluttered coastline, ideal for surfing, fishing or just lazing on clean soft sand.
Nearby towns show the influence of the Moors who occupied the area followed by the Romans, both have left significant ruins and many artefacts throughout the Alentejo. Today, the Alentejo remains rural and natural with thousands of miles of cork forest and a variety of wildlife.

Odemira area

Local towns worth visitng are Odeceixe, Aljezur and the damn at Santa Clara-a-Nova with its spectacular views and a stunning Parador overlooking the damn.
The local town of Odemira has everything from cafes and restaurants to a new 50 metre swimming pool! All types of shops, medical facilities, banks and a cinema are here in a bustling delightful town.

A security deposit of 300 Euros is taken before start of rental, with the booking payment and refunded after inspection at end of rental. We will send the cheque back to you providing there is no damage or breakages.

We also accept payment in sterling, £250. Bookings can be paid for in Euros directly to our Portuguese bank account, details on request. All monies must be received 30 days before holiday commences.

Guestbook for Quinta at Malhao Pardo

The pictures don't really tell the full story - the owners will give you alot more than the pictures suggest. It was completely my responsibility for booking everything for 9 headstrong people used to the city. I was concerned that they'd be bored, not enough space for singles to sleep, was the villa finished to a good standard? It was. Although it was my 40th no one was really going to complain bitterly to me if any features fell flat but i think I would've sensed disapproval.
To my great relief after a long drive from Lisbon we were met by an army of cleaners finishing off a morning’s work. Suffice to say the Villa was clean to the shine. The co-owner popped in a couple of times to see that we were ok; the site manager dropped by for any questions. The cooking facilities were well thought out with a large kitchen - allowing for several cooks at once. A great social occaision. The dishwasher was an essential convenience!!
This villa is ideal for either a large family or two to spread out and relax or for singletons like us to enjoy a celebration. You could probably make as much noise as you’d want & not upset anyone as the other few properties are a good distance away. Although the town seemed to have plenty of taxis, you will need your own transport to explore beyond the national park. Even though it was not needed for us, this property is ideal for wheelchair access. The owners haven’t just thrown in the odd ramp; the light switches are low-level. My shower was customised for disability use.
I was extremely impressed. If you’re looking for an all out party-assault for a week or two then maybe you should go to parts of the southern cost of Spain but for us and we age ranged from late 20’s to late 40’s we fancied chilling most of the time. GO, GO, GO And Enjoy!
