Set in 14 acres of scenic landscaped gardens. This property is suitable for couples, singles, friends and families both young and elderly.

The apartment is bright and spacious, fitted with luxurious bamboo furniture and the living room leads on to a large gazebo furnished with table and chairs allowing you to dine in a romantic setting.

The North Jamaica Coast region

Jamaica is blessed with sunshine through the year with temperatures in the 80 - 90 degrees Farenheight.

Jamaica is surrounded by mountains, rivers, waterfalls and the Caribbean sea. Ocho Rios is located on the North Coast of Jamaica and is a busy tourist destination and busy cruise ship port.

Ocho Rios area

Ocho Rios is a busy tourist resort boasting many duty free shops, markets, excellent restaurants and bars. The property is five minutes away from Island Village built by Chris Blackwell, which has indoor swimming pool, and water slides, restaurants, bars and duty free shops - located on the beach.

There are many good restaurants in Ocho - Ruins is a romantic Chinese/Jamaican restaurant built besides a beautiful waterfall - Just 2 minutes from the apartment. If you prefer Indian, there is a lovely roof top restaurant on Soni's Plaza on Main street called Passage to India. The famous Hard Rock Cafe, has recently been opened also on Main Street which manages to serve fantastic cocktails and the biggest burgers you have ever seen. On Sundays, Ocean 11 just near the cruise ship port (from11am - to 4pm) you can have a tasty Jamaican buffet and chill out to a live Jazz Band for a reasonable price. If you love Karioki, pop in to Ocean 11 on Tuesday night and sing your heart out. Scotchies is a famous Jerk Pork Hangout. It serves the best Jerk Pork/Chicken, festival, bamee, sweet potato and Red Stripe - located just in Mammee Bay ten minutes drive from Ocho.

The famous Dunns River Falls is 10 minutes drive from Columbus Heights - every visitor must experience climbing the famous falls.

The new Mystic Mountain recently opened is five minutes from Ocho Rios. You can experience a cable car ride up in the hills and enjoy the scenic view from the mountains.

Dolphin Cove is Jamaica's award winning Water Theme Park - where you can swim with dolphins, snorkel, and many more activities. This is situated five minutes drive from the apartment.

There are many water sport activities in the area including snorkelling, deep sea diving, sailing, water skying, sunset cruises and glass bottom boats. Bob Marley's birth place (Nine Miles) is about a 45 minute drive from Ocho Rios.

You must experience the romantic sunset cruise on the Cool Runnings, where you can drink red stripe and rum punch to your hearts content and learn all the latest dances on board. A perfect way to experience the cool romantic shores of Jamaica.

There are many plantations and great houses to visit the famous (White Witch of Rose Hall) is about 45 mintutes drive from Ocho.

You can experience rafting on the White River - a romantic ride down the river on a bamboo raft, a must for couples.

Jamaica is the home of Reggae music and there are many open air concerts, beach dances and clubs and festivals - the most famous festival being Sun Splash in August.

If you love to party, there is a beach dance on Priory Beach evey Sunday, or the Amnesia Night Club on Thursdays (free for ladies). Island Village promotes live concerts frequently but if you would like a night at the cinema Island Village also boasts a cinema inside the complex. (Tuesdays nights 2 for the price of 1).

How to get there

Fly to Montego Bay Airport with Virgin Atlantic.

Charter flights with Thomson, First Choice and My Travel from most major airports- off peak usually about £300.

Local taxis are available from the airport but if you wish to be picked up at the Airport we can arrange this for your convenience.

Distance - one and a half hours drive.

Columbus Heights is set on a hill, it is an easy ten minute walk down to shops, restaurants and bars. The cost of hiring a taxi up the hill is normally S200 Jamaican Dollars (the taxis are parked outside Woolworths on Main Street).

£200 to secure booking, if booked prior to six weeks before departure balance due four weeks before arrival.

£50 security deposit to be paid on arrival this will be handed to you on day of departure (any breakages will be deducted from this deposit).

No pets allowed.

We are offering a special discount rate for NOVEMBER £275PER WEEK.

We only require a deposit of £200 to secure your booking if booked prior to eight weeks of arrival. Balance due eight weeks before arrival.

The above rates are for two people. Please add an extra £25 per person per week. (No more than 3 Adults or 2 Adults and 2 children under 11.

We accept Bank Transfer and Paypal. If paying by Paypal a 5% Administration Fee is charged.

The housekeeper will clean and change linen/towels twice each week. She would be happy to cook for you for a small additional fee.

We had a lovely time at Columbus Heights, peaceful surroundings, gorgeous view of the sea and Ocho Town, friendly staff, didn't want to leave Jamaica. Will definitely come back soon. (Mr. and Mrs. Thomas).
