Welcome to the best kept secret in Jamaica. Our luxury villa is the perfect setting to enjoy the beautiful sunshine and tranquillity of the Caribbean.
Emerald Seas is an elegant two-level private home built into a mountainside beside the blue-green Caribbean Sea. Stone steps wind down through a bougainvillea-draped walkway to a sunning platform on the clear buoyant water for which Emerald Seas is named. Wonderful snorkelling can be enjoyed on this coral reef.
The open-plan living room leads to a 500-square-foot veranda and panoramic ocean view. This upstairs porch is a peaceful haven for morning coffee, reading, napping and star-gazing.
There are two separate and identical bedroom wings, one east and one west each with its own arched garden atrium. All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and overlook the ocean. The Hibiscus suite offers a king-sized mahogany 4-poster bed as does the Alamanda suite. The Orchid Suite features two double mahogany 4 poster beds while the Frangipani suite offers either a king-sized or twin beds.
The inside dining room is built into a natural rock formation. Just outside are the dining area and large private pool. Long sunsets from the pool terrace are breathtaking. Standing against the railings on verandas or pool terrace, it is easy to imagine being on the prow of a ship gliding smoothly over the sea. The soothing sound of the surf is ever present, from the spacious bedrooms to the outdoor dining areas.
French doors open from the dining room and adjacent family room and bar to the downstairs veranda and expansive pool deck overlooking the sea. The family room, can be used as a fifth bedroom with king-size or twin beds and en-suite bathroom.
The Villa also includes wireless Internet access throughout. With high spec PC's, integrated sound systems, plasma TV's and DVD players in all of the bedrooms. Complimentary phone calls to the United States, Canada and the UK.
The private jetty located at the back of the Villa, allows access to the 2 double Kayaks that can be launched straight into the sea. When the sea is calm, the Jetty provides the ideal spot from which to arrange a pick up for the Glass Bottomed Boat Trip, or simply drop your line and catch yourself some lunch! Water sports such as scuba diving, jet skis, water skiing and a wide variety of boat trips are easily arranged.
The full sized tennis court gives the opportunity for any Wimbledon hopefuls to practice their swing; rackets and balls are provided. Alternatively enjoy a game of ping pong by the swimming pool.
Our villa is staffed by a butler who facilitates your vacation. Your butler knows how to navigate the island and who to call. Your housekeeper will care for every detail of your bedroom and bath, and turn down your bed each evening. Don't over pack! Each afternoon your neatly-folded laundry will be returned. You will actually fly home with suitcases full of clean clothes. Your chef will handle grocery shopping for you and you are welcome to go shopping with them, otherwise, simply review your tastes and everything will be arranged whilst you enjoy your holiday.

The Saint Ann Parish region
Located roughly in the center of Jamaica's North Coast, Ocho Rios, or Ochi, lays claim to an incredible variety of natural and man-made bounty. Characterized by luxuriant greenery, mountains that soar down to meet stunning beaches, plus the world-renowned, Dunn's River Falls, this town virtually pulsates with an energy all its own. It even boasts Fern Gully, a winding five-mile shallow canyon carved out by a long-dried-up river, that now hosts over 500 species of ferns and some tropical flora that you would be hard-pressed to find outside of a rainforest. Emerald Seas is the perfect base if you want to explore the rest of the Island. Everything from tours of old Great Houses to swimming with dolphins, rainforest zip line thrills and adventure tours. Shaw Park Botanical Gardens are wonderful and not to be missed - Keep your eyes open and spot the Streamertail Hummingbird, Jamaica's national treasure. Just down the road is Reggae Beach, perfect for relaxing during the day and dancing through the night. Don't miss visiting Noel Coward's home Firefly for a majestic view over Port Maria.
Its always warm/hot in Jamaica but is cooler from December to April. This is the better time of the year to visit the island for those looking for outdoor activities. The rainy season is generally from the end of April, or early May, until the end of September or early October. During the rainy season it can rain during any part of the day but is most common in the late afternoon and early evening. The other months, also called the dry season, have much less rain and humidity. The hurricane season starts in June and peaks from August to early October. A traditional rhyme is 'June too son, July stand by, August prepare you must, September remember, October all over'
There is so much to see in Jamaica!
Emerald Seas is a great base if you want to explore the Island. You can head up into the beautiful Blue Mountains and visit a coffee plantation or visit Nine Mile, Bob Marley's home in the mountains.
April is Easter time and the culmination of Carnival season, so if you are planning to go to Ocho Rios over the Easter weekend be sure to book early as many locals flock there for the long weekend, some to relax and others to attend one or more of the Carnival events. Beach Jouvert on Saturday at James Bond beach in Oracabessa which has live bands (soca music), water paints (so dont wear your nice beach wear) and open bar. Chukka Cove on Sunday has live bands also but no paint.
