"Confortable and spacious"
The Penthouse is spacious. We received it very tidy. It has a good tv, and plenty of CDs. The furniture, the carpet, beds... are in very good condition. The building has restaurant, concierge and two parking spaces. We were 7 people, 4 adults and 3 children, ages between 6 and 8 years. There were plenty of space for them. If we come back to Southampton we will try to rent it again.

"Amazing accommodation - could not fault it!"
From the minute we booked the owner was very helpful, and Debbie who looks after the apartment is so lovely and couldn't do enough for us. Between them they've thought of everything you could need for your stay. We stayed here in Aug 2013 for a hen do of 12 people and the apartment is perfect for this many people. The apartment is plenty big enough and the big balcony/terrace was a nice surprise! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to anyone and i am already looking to book there again soon.

"Great apartment in a fantastic location but needs uplifting"
This is a beautiful apartment in a great location. We stayed here with 2 young children and 2 elderly parents but having a lift made a big difference. There are great views of the cruise ships from the balcony and the area around the apartment has a great choice of restaurants. We arrived from a holiday abroad and although the apartment doesn't have a washing machine, the laundry service in the basement did a service wash for us at a very reasonable price, meaning we didn't have to search for a laundrette. The apartment itself is very well equipped and can accommodate a large number of guests. Having 3 bathrooms and separate toilet was very handy during the hot weather we experienced when we were there. However, we were only given 1 large and 1 small towel each for our stay which were very old and worn, and when we texted Debbie (the Manager) if we could have more (as the weather was approaching 30 degrees while we were there), we were shocked to receive a text back (intended for the owner, but sent to us by mistake) calling us "picky". When we confronted Debbie about this she was very apologetic and came round with more towels but this unfortunately put a dampener on our holiday. One important point I think the owner needs to consider is the lack of blinds/curtains in the bedrooms. 2 of the bedrooms have skylights (one directly above the bed) without blinds and this makes sleeping very difficult at this time of the year and made 1 of the rooms completely unusable. When reading through the visitors book in the apartment, this was highlighted several times over the last 2 years and nothing has been done. The large balcony has great potential but unfortunately, some of the chairs were broken and there is a real mix of tables and chairs. Given a higher standard of outdoor furnishings (and perhaps some plants), this would be a real asset to the apartment. We were a bit disappointed not to receive the welcome pack as advertised. We were given 2 t-towels, 3 dishwasher tablets (for a week!!!) and sugar and tea which has obviously been left there from other visitors. If the welcome pack is no longer part of the deal, please remove it from the advert. We had a great holiday in Southampton and these things put a dampener on our holiday but didn't ruin it. I would recommend the apartment as a great base for the area but I think the owner needs to act on the comments she is given.
Guests comments and suggestions are always welcome, thank you for taking the time. The balcony furniture is now under review, there are some odd items but they have been left to offer several choices as to where to sit on this very large balcony, perhaps less is more for this situation. Towels including quantity for longer stays is also being looked at. Lorrena Lineker, owner.

"Super accommodation ideal for large party wanting to chill"
Spacious living accommodation for relaxing together with added bonus of kitchen, dining and lounge area including a large balcony, located together so everyone can participate. Very well equipped and close drive from railway station and not too far from Southampton airport either so ideal for a reunion.Very welcoming owner and so would recommend highly!

"Incredible Penthouse...Blown away by the space and views on offer"
I hired this place for my 30th birthday party. We had about 10 of us staying. On entering the building you're blown away by the grandeur of the whole building, and when you take the lift to the top floor, and push past the final door at the end of the corridor, you're greeted by an incredibly spacious, and luxurious penthouse. It's true, photos don't do this place justice!! The views from the expansive terrace are incredible, the terrace could easily hold 50-60 people, perfect for gatherings and BBQ's. We had perfect weather for the last weekend of September, and fully made use of the terrace. The flat has plenty of bathrooms, with really powerful showers, and what seems like an endless supply of hot water. Ideally for groups getting ready. All the bedrooms are really spacious, and well furnished, the top floor has the best bedroom, with windows on 4 sides, you really do feel on top of the world. You get two parking spaces included with the flat, which is ideal, it’s only a short work into the city of Southampton. There’s also a taxi rank right outside, and a lovely bar/club on the ground/lower ground floor of the building where you get 15% off drinks and food orders. They treat you like royalty if you tell them where you’re staying ‘The Penthouse’ This is the best place to stay in Southampton. I was so impressed with the property I even looked to see if any were for sale in the building! We had a fantastic 30th, and it was partly down to such an incredible venue…words are hard to describe this place. Debbie, is great, very organised, and a fountain of knowledge. I loved the place so much I’m certainly coming back in the future!

"Fantastic spacious apartment in a great location."
Travelled with family and friends including three children under 4 and were very pleased we chose this penthouse. It was exactly how the pictures showed and in a fantastic location for ferry travel to Cowes, Peppa Pig World in Paultons Park, an hours drive to Portsmouth, and close to a range of good restaurants, supermarkets and bowling and swimming complexes. We were met by the property manager who was very helpful and explained everything very thoroughly to us. We would definitely look to book and stay a this penthouse again in the future.
