About the home

This brand new villa (finished in 2009) will appeal to those people looking for luxury living in a quiet and relaxing environment. Our villa has a great garden for privacy or for just letting the children play.
Great little touches such as the IPOD docking station and the cycles - help you have a really relaxing holiday.
Explore the walks and cycle paths of Obidos lagoon which are a few minutes walk from the villa. The scenic beaches around the mouth of the lagoon are a 5 minute drive away where you can find a handful of great fish restaurants. Enjoy the catch of the day whilst watching the spectacular seascapes of the Silver Coast or the stunning sunsets over the Atlantic.

The world renowned golf courses at Praia del Rey and Bom Successo are also just a 5 min drive away from your villa. Explore the beautiful walled town of Obidos which is full of charming cobbled streets and shops.

Sao Martinho do Porto has a gorgeous shell shaped bay and excellent amenties and can be reached in is about 30 minutes by car.

The Costa de Prata/Silver Coast/Central Portugal region

The Silver Coast is renowned for it's unspoilt coastline and great golf courses. Stunning quiet beaches are in abundance along this coastline and will appeal to couples and families alike.
The weather on the Silver Coast is close to perfect - the winter average temperature is around 17C and the summer average is 27C. In the summer, the heat is tempered by the gentle sea breeze.

The Obidos / Bom Sucesso area

Places of interest nearby include the beautiful walled town of Obidos, the popular sea side resort of Sao Martinho do Porto and the tempting fish restaurants of Peniche.

The beaches at Baleal and Peniche attract enthusiastic surfers whilst you can also watch (or partake in) various water sports on the picturesque Obidos lagoon.

“Fantastic house in a quiet location.” We had a lovely holiday here in the first two weeks of July. The house is amazing, much nicer than our own house! Open plan, loads of space, very clean and well equipped. It was the best house in the estate in terms of position, garden size and privacy from the road. We loved the pool and got into a nice routine of spending the morning at the beach and the afternoon around the pool. There are a lot of unoccupied houses around so its very quiet but we actually liked this. You do need a car to enjoy the surrounding area which has a lot to offer. I have just read the previous review and feel that if they wanted lots of shops and restaurants nearby and a larger pool etc then they would have to pay much much more than this villa costs. That sort of villa does exist but at a much heftier price tag. So I would highly recommend this villa if you are looking for great value accommodation in quiet surroundings. Perfect for young families. This was our first trip to Portugal and we also found the cost of living and eating out to be very reasonable compared with other European countries.

Guestbook for Pinhal Villa

The villa was great, thank you so much for letting us use it, it made for a very comfortable and ideally suited base for the region, its easily the best on the development. The surrounding area is lovely and whilst we had extremely good weather, there was also lots to explore and we made good use of the amenities on offer. Obidos was lovely, the lagoon very pretty and the local restaurants and snack bars were very accommodating.


We loved the surrounding area and there was plenty for the kids to explore

All the recommendations from Jeff and Julie were 'spot on' - we'll definitely be back

The large garden was an added bonus for the children. We also had everything (and more) in terms of equipment in the kitchen. A very enjoyable and relexing holiday.

Loved the open plan living and we were amazed by the size of the house - great value for money!
