Welcome to No 4 Estrada Dos Pocos, a family owned villa situated on Portugal’s Silver Coast close to the beautiful mediaeval walled city of Obidos and the region’s fabulous unspoilt beaches and extensive sporting facilities. The villa is a detached and situated in a private, scenic location with distant views over the village of Amoreira located a few minutes drive from Obidos and the beaches at Peniche and Baleal. The villa is ideally suited to families being located close to all the sporting, recreational and cultural attractions that the area has to offer.
The villa has been comprehensively restored and upgraded in 2008 providing luxurious accommodation and facilities for up to 8 guests. There is a sheltered, heated courtyard pool (10m x 4.5m) with sun loungers, table tennis table, pool table and a large south-facing terrace with spectacular distant views. The surrounding area has something to offer everyone from the miles of golden beaches, historic towns, sailing, surfing as well as golf and tennis and wonderful local restaurants and markets. The villa is managed by a highly experienced British-owned property management company who have been based in the local area for almost 20 years. The Costa de Prata/Silver Coast region
The Silver Coast is a beautiful region characterised by miles of unspoilt beaches, tranquil countryside and historic towns. It is an area that has something for everyone whether it be the many European Blue Flag beaches, fantastic sporting facilities, some of Europe's best surfing breaks or the beautifully preserved historic villages and towns that dot the region, many of which have a very active calendar of cultural events. All of these are accompanied by some of the best seafood gastronomy in the world and conveniently located in one of Portugal's main wine growing areas!
Obidos / Amoreira area
The villa is located in the village of Amoreira which has a selection of cafe bars and restaurants as well as practical facilities such as a pharmacy, post office and selection of shops. Within a ten minute drive are the beautiful beaches north and south of Peniche, an ancient walled fishing port. The historic and perfectly preserved medieval town of Obidos with its many festivals (opera, classical music, medieval re-enactment, chocolate to name a few) is less than ten minutes drive and the larger town of Calda da Rainha with its fish and vegetable markets is 15 minutes away.
Local activities cover a wide range of watersports, with many surfing and watersports schools offering instruction for all levels, excellent golf and tennis facilities at nearby Praia del Rey, horseriding and scuba diving. The nature reserve of the Berlengas Islands is also a shrt boat ride away.

Fly to Lisbon from numerous UK departure points, Gatwick/ Heathrow/ Luton/ Liverpool/ Manchester/ Birmingham/ Bristol. Airlines flying to Lisbon: Easyjet/ TAP/ British Airways/ BMI Baby Obidos 50 minutes north by car on A8 motorway. Car hire available at Lisbon Airport from all the major providers: Hertz/ Avis/ Sixt/ Europcar/ Guerin/ Budget.
