Our comfortable modern house has just been re-decorated to a high standard. It is in a quiet residential cul-de-sac ten minutes walk from the station and about five minutes walk from Aldi, Lidl, Co-op and Tesco as well as having a garage convenience store at the end of the street.

The cosy lounge has a sofa which converts very easily to a good size double bed. The HD TV is brand new and we provide a range of DVDs. You can enjoy your own music easily through the iPod docking station and free wi-fi is also provided.

There is a double room and a twin room upstairs both with plenty of wardrobe space. The bathroom upstairs includes a shower over the bath, and there is an additional toilet downstairs. The kitchen is well-equipped and includes a dishwasher, electric cooker, microwave, fridge freezer, washing machine, and a large range of utensils. There is tumble dryer available for use in the shed by the back door. There is also a private back garden.

Oban has some delightful local shops also within easy reach including a lovely old fashioned sweet shop, the Oban Chocolate Shop, two specialist bargain shoe shops and an art shop with a varied and interesting range of cards and gifts as well as a good stock of artists' materials.

The Oban Phoenix cinema, which is a community led project, opened in August 2012, and provides an excellent facility for locals and visitors alike.

Atlantis Leisure is a well equipped sports and leisure centre with a swimming pool and many other facilities.

Within five minutes' walk, there is 'Go Bananas', a children's soft play facility with the excellent Bridge Café beneath.

Bed linen, towels and electricity are included in the rental price.

We will always provide a welcome pack of popular food items and basic essentials.

There is parking in front of the house for one vehicle and plenty of safe street parking at the end of the street.

A great place to explore Oban and the beautiful surrounding area and then come back to a warm, comfortable modern house. We love it and hope you will too!

The Central Scotland/Strathclyde region

Argyll is one of the most beautiful areas in Scotland. A landscape that changes all the time with the season and the light.

From mid-Argyll with its pre-historic standing stones, its ancient farm lands and string of lochs and inlets to North Argyll where the mountains take over from the hills and the sea and lochs are all around us, the area has so much to take in.

Oban is a delightful bustling fishing port and known as the 'gateway to the isles'. As well as being a lovely place in itself, it's a great base for discovering the local area: day trips to Mull and Iona are easily organised from the ferry terminal. The isle of Seil is a half hour drive to the south and can be accessed by car over the 'Bridge over the Atlantic'. To the north is Connel and the Falls of Lora which run accross the bottom of Loch Etive.

The town itslef has many interesting local shops, its own distillery, great sea food reastaurants and access to all sorts of activities such as boat trips round the local islands, climbing, walking, canoeing, sea and fresh-water fishing, sailing.
