We are the Wesleys and we would like to welcome you to our home! We are a fairly laid back bunch. We enjoy lots of outdoor activities including, cycling, running, horse riding, swimming and hill walking. We have bikes in the garage that we could leave for you to use. We also enjoy activities at home and have the essential home entertainment equipment - big flat screen telly, xbox, wii, wifi broadband internet, dvd player etc.

We love where we live and would love for you to give it a try in our homely place! We think that you will be very comfortable in our home which is well equiped for modern family living. We let/swop during the school holidays only as this is our family house.

We are located on the Isle of Seil, sixteen miles south of Oban on the west coast of Scotland. Its a beautiful rural, coastal region. Our home is metres from the shore. We are accessed by our ancient stone bridge which is a bit of a roller coaster ride but is perferable to ferries! Two other islands are accessed by ferry from Seil Island, the isle of Luing (car and passenger ferry) and Easdale Island - this beautiful wee island has no cars, only around 60 permanent inhabitants & a swimming quarry perfect if your looking for a bit of an adventure! Well worth the two minute open ferry ride!

Our home is a 1½ storey detached house which has space for 9 in 5 bedrooms. We have a very spacious lounge with a woodburning stove which over looks the garden. Our family kitchen dining room has all the stuff that families need, dishwasher, cooker, fridge freezer, range cooker etc. There are french doors which open onto our large raised deck. The deck leads onto the enclosed garden and over looks the fields and open countryside to the rear and the shore beyond. There is a 14 foot trampoline in the garden and a gas barbeque for visitors to use. We also have utility room with a washing machine and pully airer and room for drying off muddy boots, coats and dogs!

Downstairs is our family bathroom which has a bath and shower and upstairs there is a shower room. We also have a wee snug room downstairs with a single bed, chairs, big telly, dvd, xbox and wii.

Outside we have lots of parking in our fenced plot which is safe for kids and animals. Although our house is along a single farm track and so is very quiet with no traffic noise or street lighting. There is a seating area in the front of the house with a chiminea for catching the evening sun and the deck at the back catches the sun through the day.

The naturalists amongst you will appreciate the vast plant, bird and animal life here. We often see otters, seals and dolphins on our dog walks. We have lots of garden birds but frequently have visits from sparrow hawks, buzzards and the odd merlin. I'm not that hot on my birds but the local natural history group have seen many rare breeds too. The natural history group run regular walks and field trips if you wish to join them.

We have three award winning local pubs who all serve home cooked meals and real ales. We are also fortunate to have a local shop just around the corner which sells everything - fresh baked bread and pastries, the daily newspaper and a good bottle of wine!

We are approximately 16 miles south of the town of Oban, which can be reached by road or by our bus which runs 6 days per week. Oban is our main town and has supermarkets, chemists, A&E. Oban is great for something to do. There are loads of lovely restaurants and cafes serving their delicious fresh catches. There is a fabulous leisure centre and pool which has lots of activities for all ages and a big soft play centre. Our newly refurbished cinema is set to reopen in the spring 2012.

Oban is known as the gateway to the isles and is the main ferry terminal for the ferries to the western isles. Oban is approximately an hour from Fort William and the Nevis Range and a little further to Glencoe for winter/spring skiing. Oban can be accessed by train from Glasgow and also by coach.

Non smokers only.
