The Highlands region

The Hotel was built in the early 1800's as a retreat for the rich & weel healed of Glasgow and Edinburgh and sits right on the shore of Loch Awe at the top of the "Mull of Kintyre" The Hotel benefits from being set in 100 acres of its own grounds with 31 Lodges & Apartments set within the grounds. The Estate/Hotel has on offer to guests two places to eat a great bar leading to a panoramic conservatory overlooking the Loch plus Boats Mountain Bikes windsurfers etc.


Oban / Dalmally area

Oban is the main Port for the ferries to the Western Isles and offers a variety of eating establishments & Bars plus a good selection of shops and stores.


How to get there

From Glasgow take M8 to Erskin Bridge cross over bridge and take A82 along the side of Loch Lomond until Tarbet then fork left onto A83 to Inverary At Inverary take Dalmally road and proceed for 9 miles until you see the sign for Claddich & Portsonachan follow Lochside road for 3 miles and you will arrive at Portsonachan Hotel
