THE VILLA IS LOCATED 10 MINUTES DRIVE FROM NEW KUTA GOLF the home of Indonesia Open 2009.

Everyone that opens the calved Balinese doors into this idyllic tropical garden setting says- WoW! An open air lounge overlooking a stunning pool and surrounded by 3 separate deluxe units, each providing air conditioned bedrooms, TV/DVD, en-suite garden bathrooms & individual patio seating areas. The "family suite" features a master and twin room with shared bathroom - so the villa can sleep up to 8 people. The staff includes a cook, maid, gardener, security, car & driver to cater for all your needs.

Nestled between the award winning resorts of Nusa Dua and famous beach restaurants of Jimbaran Bay, the villa is only a stone’s throw from 2 golf courses, renowned surfing/watersport beaches, restaurants and night life.

Ideal for: families, friends, corporates, golfers, surfers and those just wanting to get away from it all.

Facilities include: home cinema karaoke audio visual system, hundreds of movies, WiFi internet with lap top computer, Wii, fully fitted kitchen, 2 mountain bikes, 2 body boards, snorkel gear and beach toys. There are nearby spas or massage and beauty treatments can be arranged at the villa from as little as $5 to $25.

The family suite has a super king sized four poster bed with a walk in dressing room and a bathroom with a sunken bathtub, shower, toilet and vanity unit, all set in a delightful landscaped walled garden. An adjoining twin bedded room is ideal for families with young children or larger groups. A baby cot is available, if required.
All suites include TV/DVD/music systems, safes and hair dryers.

The double bedroom suite has a super queen sized four poster bed, spacious cupboards and dressing area as well as an equally impressive garden bathroom with a sunken bath & shower. The outdoor patio features a Javanese coffee table and two chairs.

A similar patio and sitting area forms the entrance to the twin bedded suite. With children in mind it includes a surround sound sound system which makes the library of children movies and cartoons come alive. Two large wardrobes line the corridor to the open air bathroom with sunken bath and shower.

A large walk in storage unit is where the toys are stored ranging from a bucket and spade for the little ones to a snorkel and flippers for the adventurers. There are also two mountain bikes that are perfect for exploring the stunning scenery surrounding Gunung Payung villa. Ride or walk along the picturesque lane, through the monkey woods and on to the largely undiscovered Gunung Payung temple with breathtaking ocean views, caves and deserted sandy beaches.

A full time cook, maid, gardener, security officer, car & driver ensures that your every need is catered for. You can choose between going out for dinner at one of the numerous restaurants or ordering from your own villa menu. These unique weather patterns within Bali have also made this area a haven for golfers. Within ten minutes either side of the villa, there are two golf courses that boast some of the most exciting, challenging and picturesque landscapes in the South East Asia.
Just ten minutes drive from the villa are 3 of Bali's top entertainment centres. Nusa Dua, an award-winning complex of 5-star hotels, set in a neatly manicured tropical setting, offers stunning beaches and restaurants with some of the world's top chefs. Jimbaran Bay is famous for its BBQ restaurants that line the shore-line, serving up that day's catch to the tune of wandering musicians. Tanjung Benoa is known as Bali's watersport capital with para-gliding, flying fish, giant banana and boats for hire for fishing, snorkeling or visiting such places as the Turtle rehabilitation centre and other nearby islands.
This part of Bali is famous for surfing with such beaches as Dreamland, Balangang and Ulawatu lining this part of the coastline. At the end of our road is the little known Gunung Payung temple overlooking a stunning beach - ideal for surfing.
You can shop yourself at Niramal supermarket 5 minutes drive away, Hardy's Hypermarket ten minutes away or the French Hypermarket Carrefoure is just 15 minutes away. Alternatively the villa staff can do the shopping for you with just 20% service charge on top of shopping receipts to cover travel and time.

A 50% deposit is required to secure your reservation at Gunung Payung Villa. Final payment is required 45 days prior to arrival or immediately if booking is made within less than 45 days. Deposits and final payments are non-refundable. Payment can be made by bank transfer. There is a minimum stay requirement of 3 nights in low season, 5 nights in high season and 7 nights in peak season. There are special rates for last minute bookings, subject to availability.

Gunung Payung literally means Umbrella Mountain – but before you imagine that it rains a lot – the name comes from the fact that, from a distance, the mountain actually looks like an umbrella In fact, the Bukit (or hill) is one of the driest areas in Bali and being on higher ground means you are fanned by the gentle breezes. This exceptional weather may be the reason why two top international golf courses have been created within a few minutes drive of the villa - making this area a haven for golfers.

A ten minute bike ride to the coast finds the largely undiscovered Gunung Payung temple which overlooks one of the most spectacular coastlines. Watch out for the monkey's in the forest or along the cliffs. A picnic on the beach is a treasured moment - with only the seaweed farmers for company - certainly no t-shirt sellers here - only thick sandy beaches, incredible surf and fascinating caves to explore.

There really are only two seasons in Indonesia. Hot and dry (April-October) and hot and rainy (October-March.) Even in the rainy season - the tropical downpours only last and hour or two - so most of the time it is still like a summer's day. Temperatures usually range from 28 to 32 degrees year around - so it never gets cold nor exceptionally hot.

This area has the dual benefit of being tranquil and picturesque yet just a stone's throw from restaurants and nightlife.

The Nusa Dua / Gunung Payung area

The southern part of Bali is known as one of the best surfing areas in the world. Padang Padang, Ulawatu and Dreamland beaches are just a few of the famous ones - but many others are dotted along the coastline - just waiting to be discovered.

Ten minutes from the villa is Tangung Benoa - the water sport capital of Bali; Jimbaran Bay - famous for its candle-lit dinners on the beach and Nusa Dua - a unique complex of luxury hotels with some of the world's top chefs and delightful tropical settings for corporate conferences and holidaymakers alike. It is only 20 minutes to the airport and 30 to Kuta or Sanur - with more shops and nightlife to explore.

Within ten minutes either side of the villa, there are two golf courses that boast some of the most exciting and challenging landscapes in the South East Asia. The New Kuta Golf course has fairways and greens that overlook some of the most incredible ocean views. The superb clubhouse with its marble floors & wicker furniture is reminiscent of a bygone era.

The other golf course is in Nusa Dua which is equally as fascinating and luxurious. Even the Nirwana golf club is only a 40-minute drive away and a trip here can be combined with a visit to one of Bali’s most popular monuments Tanah Lot.
