The Costa de la Luz / Huelva Province region
- Huelva - the nearest large town is appox 20mins by car and has historical interest as well as a comprehensive array of shops and stores. - The Fishing village of El-Rompido approx 5min drive away is a must for its fabulous restaurants of local cuisine and bars right on the water-front. - Picturesque Ayamonte and Isla Canela both with Marinas are approx 30mins away close to the border of Portugal. - Horse Riding on the Beach 15mins drive away.
Nuevo Portil / Hoyo 14 area
- The area is a Golfers Paradise with a maginificent parkland golf course characterised by wide fairways and fast smooth greens right on your door step, there are also innumerable golf courses within easy reach. - There are miles of unspoilt coastline with beautiful golden beaches and small seaside villages and towns. - The area also has fine Restaurants and Bars, there is a local supermarket a fresh bread shop, ice cream parlour and pizzeria all within walking distance. - There is a Water Park and a Go Karting Track 10mins from the townhouses, and a new sports complex is now built some 5mins walk away. - 5* Hotel 5min walk with Swimming Pool, Massage/Beauty Salon, golf club house.

Nuevo Portil is 60mins drive from Faro or Sevillle airports & which operate budget airlines such as easyjet, ryan air, Monarch, all very competive. Car Hire Companys are within the Airports on Transport Transfers can be arranged. Local Taxies in Nuevo Portil and El Rompido.

Very high standard of decor and fitments and everything you wish for from a Holiday property, Hired a car at Faro Airport and found the property with ease. We found it was like going back 20 years ago before the other Costas were built up as this Costa has an unspoilt Coastline and cannot wait to go back in 2008. A little Spanish would help but dont worry if you dont as many of the restaurants have some menus now in English. Lots of small shops, restaurants, and the beach no more than a few minutes walk. Peter and Lin Webb We also visited the Website which gave us a bit more information about the Townhouse. ------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------- We spent a brilliant 2 weeks at Casa Haya, the Townhouse is superb with very good decor and equipment levels and our party of 6 was catered for admirably. There is a nice pool in the Hoyo 14 complex and in addition we could also use the facilities at the 2 Hotels up the road. The Townhouse was close to the beach which was very clean and sandy. The sea was very clean and good for swimming. This is a very unspoilt part of Spain not at all like the Mediterranean Costas. Alittle Spanish helps because tourism hasn't hit this area yet but the restaurants do have English speakers. There is plenty to do swimming, golf, karting, waterpark, oh and the bikes were useful too, theres plenty to explore locally. For our days out we relied on taxis - there are plenty in El Rompido otherwise the Hotels will get you one, but we used Anyonio from El Rompido (tel 606147166) who was very reliable and accommodating, his English was limited as my Spanish but we managed! All in all a great holiday and we will return here in the not to distant future. (Paul & Amanda Devonshire) ------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------- We had a wonderful stay at Hoyo 14 this year, it was a lovely Townhouse beautifully furnished with every amenity you could wish for. It would make a lovely place to spend a few months if we didn't have to go back to work. The whole complex is well laid out and maintained to a very high standard, The pool was exceedingly inviting and perfect for relaxing (uncrowed) swim. There's a great golf course to hand which is quite testing as being near the sea but the cool breeze is a big help. All in all a fantastic holiday in a very unspoilt part of Spain which we did not think still existed as we have visited Spain many times. We willdefinitely return in the near future even if its just for the Restaurants and our favourite has to be the chinese in Cartaya it was fabulous.
