Wonderful to be back in the South Hams where I grew up. Superb accommodation, nicely decorated and made very welcoming for our arrival. Lovely light rooms and comfy seating in lounge. Kitchen is small, but perfectly fine for holiday times: three of us didn't collide in it! The view out of the front windows, and especially from the garden just by the creekside is exquisite. Driving the last little distance to get there is not for the faint-hearted, and if you take two cars, a bit of shuffling may be necessary to park. But all of that is well worth the effort. In late September we found the place really peaceful. We're not pub-goers ourselves, but didn't find that having one next door was that much of a disturbance, even though it was really warm at night and customers were sitting outdoors. Response: Thanks, we love it there, and we love to be able to share the pleasure. |
