The six- section purpose built pool-house telescopes into one section at the touch of a button so that in fine weather it can become open air. At the end of a private road in the beautiful Wensum Valley, officially designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty, an excellent totally peaceful location from which to explore Norfolk.
Dove cottage has been completely renovated to a very high standard. It has been made for persons with disabilities in mind, wide door ways, on one level, grab rails in shower & toilet room. Dove cottage has its own fenced in garden overlooking a field with horses. Dove cottage is situated the other side of the pool house to Squirrel cottage. Also situated in the pool house is a seven seater Jacuzzi/hot tub. Dove Cottage & Squirrel Cottage together with the owners bungalow lie at the end of a private road in the beautiful Wensum Valley, officially designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty, an excellent totally peaceful location from which to explore Norfolk. Adjacent to the garden is Taverham Mill Fishing Lakes and nature reserve the wildlife comes into us.

Travel cot and high chair can be hired for £25 to be requested at time of booking. Family bathroom has no bath shower only, (wet room style) shower and toilet have a grab rail.

Easy access from car, guests can park outside entrance door. Parking outside cottage for a few cars. Entrance has a double door with outside lights. Guest's may use the large area of lawn to play badminton/ball games etc. there is a natural pond in the grounds where moorhens nest and ducks swim and the heron visits to fish, the deer also use it for their watering hole. Private use of heated pool and hot-tub.Pool is closed from November to March, hot-tub available all year. If both cottages booked time slots are allocated to both cottages to ensure private use of pool and hot-tub.
Notes: Dove cottage has been recently renovated so it is suitable for elderly or infirm. Wet room with grab handles, grab rail close to toilet. Wide doorways on one level, easy access from car you can park outside entrance door. Open plan living room/kitchen and diner.NO SMOKING IN COTTAGE. THE POOL IS NOT IN USE FROM NOVEMBER TO APRIL, HOT-TUB AVAILABLE ALL YEAR.
The East Anglia region
About 30 minutes to the south you can stroll through enchanting Forest of Thetford teaming with wildlife and countless varieties of birds. To the east and North are some of the loveliest dune-lined sandy beaches in England. Ten minutes to the north is the historic market town of Aylsham with it's famous Steam Railway on which you can enjoy lunch whilst taking in the beautiful Norfolk countryside on route to coast or broad in the elegant style of a bygone age.
Bewilderwood the curious treehouse adventure, zip wires, jungle bridges, yummy food and mysterious marsh walks you will find between Wroxham and Horning on the A1062. Banham Zoo at Attlebridge.
Old Costessey is a picturesque village about 4 miles from the Cathedral city of Norwich, the principal shopping and entertainment centre of East Anglia. Just a short twenty minute drive to the east are the beautiful Norfolk Broads where boats can be hired for day trips to explore the magical landscape of reed-lined waterways, windmills and nature reserves.
