"Not for us"

although we enjoyed our family time together ,the swimming pool was good and the hot tub .for the grandchildren ,the rest was not from day one our toilet in squirrel cottage blocked ,and did so 4 more… More

The guest that stayed the week before had no problems with the toilet and the guest that stayed for 2 weeks that arrived the day these guest departed had no problems. The guests reported the problem with the toilet the day after they had arrived on the Sunday we unblocked the waste pipe, it occurred a few times during their stay so we unblocked it again, there was a lot of toilet paper blocking the pipe.

"Peaceful location. Great for walking and watching wildlife. The cottage was fab the swimming pool a fantastic facility after a d"

Great location and facilities. Stayed with our three grandchildren for one week will definitely be making a return visit.
We all enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Starting and ending pur day there. Lots to do locally but you do have to drive. Nice local pub Swan inn. Food good not to pricey. Play park in grounds and close to river bank if you fancy a picnic.
The cottage itself was lovely. Spotlessly clean. Nicely furnished with your own garden area overlooking a wood were we saw some lovely nirds and deer.
Dishwasher and washing machine were welcome additions particularly as we had the children with us. Daily visits from Cassie and Benji, two dogs, (usually at meal tes) were welcome. Can't praise this venue or hosts enough.

"Lovely cottage in beautiful surroundings"

We booked this cottage for a hen do but it was also for a relaxed girlie weekend away with my cousins.
Amazing area - very picturesque, beautiful gardens and the private swimming pool and hot tub was a big big bonus. We really enjoyed ourselves.
The location is fairly remote so it's perfect if you want somewhere quiet and relaxing. However, the town centre isn't too far away if you do fancy venturing out.
Cottage was in a very good condition with all amenities. The owners were very gracious and allowed us to use their very large gardens if we wanted to (which we did for a hen dare).
All in all, a very lovely place indeed. Only slight issue was if you need to use wi-fi, the reception isn't great. Only one person in our group was able to access the wifi on her phone. But this isn't a big deal as we didn't need to use the internet all the time.
Would highly recommend the cottage and will hopefully be visiting again soon!
