The Central England/Cotswolds region

Northamptonshire county is less than 2 hours drive from London's Heathrow airport and an hour from Luton airport.

There are National Express coaches that operate a service from most UK ports to Northampton, being the principal county town.

A magnet for fishermen and anglers, campers and walkers, this beautiful county has plenty to offer the holiday maker.

Picturesque, oldy-worldy villages and hamlets abound. The quintessential English village is this county's draw-card and visitors return year after year to enjoy its splendors. It makes a seamless metamorphosis each season and reveals the pure magic of the English countryside and leaves it's visitors spell-bound and delighted.

Protected from coastal winds, the region enjoys surprisingly good weather most of the year which makes the region particularly popular with caravaners and campers.

Being a region with an abundance of waterways, lakes and rivers, a veritable cornucopia of typically English water-side pubs are to be found almost around every corner!

Leisure activities are aplenty, with Festivals, Shows held all year, but mostly during the Summer holidays.

This attractive destination is certainly one worth investigating more closely. One will not be disappointed!

Northampton

The beautiful picturesque county of Northamptonshire boasts a plethora of leisure and sporting activities such as walks, fishing, boating, wildlife watching, caravaning, camping and plenty of centres for shopping, eating out and some wonderful country pubs.

Billing Aquadrome is one of the most popular and frequented centres in the region for custom cars and bikes shows and lots of antique, art, children's and competition shows all through the year. The area is alive with folk from all across the country and from Europe and further abroad who visit these shows and enjoy their stay in the parks accommodations or nearby hotels.

It is one of the most popular areas for leisure and sport fishing and are known to hide beautiful specimens of the country's most popular fish, namely carp, tench, roach and trout.

Being quite rurally placed, Cogenhoe sits in a little valley, secluded from the outside world, in blissful serenity.

Many of the Park's residents have spent many happy years there and with good reason. There are many resident families of aquatic birds including swans, the Queen of England Royal bird!

The area is easily accessible from the north and from the south either by road or to local airports; the Park itself easy to access through the village and is sign-posted by the high street.

The views are quite lovely and can be appreciated more fully by taking walks along the many Public Footpaths.

Spring and Summer months are warm and hazy and even a summer shower cannot dampen ones spirits.

The leisure centres have open and indoor pools, so guests or visitors can cool down on hot humid days.

All in all, a holiday worth having, worth remembering and definitely worth repeating! Y'all come back now, ye hear?!

"Quiet, Beautiful site"

The site was amazing with the river right at the end of the small patio area. Sitting there in the evening watching the sunset was so calm. The swans sharing my breakfast was good too. The caravan was… More
