The property, which is at least 250 years old, sits towards the end of a no-through road leading towards the historic Norman church and forms part of a row of cottages that are now all owned by one family. The village is 'terribly quintessential English': full of period buildings, relatviely untouched and with stunning views down the valley. Inside the cottage is furnished to a very high standard, with period and contemporary touches in equal measure - very attractive. It is ideal for two, three or four people with the beds providing a variety of 'options'! There is also an enclosed garden to the rear. With the heart of Bath literally less than 10 mins drive away, this is a prime rural retreat.

The Somerset region

Bath is literally a short drive away. It is renowned for its spectacular architeture including the beautifully preserved Roman Baths and hot springs, the Royal Crescent, Pump Rooms, Pultney Bridge and The Circus. As you would imagine there is a huge choice of restaurants, shops and attractions, which should keep you coming back time and again. The Thermal Bath Spa is a particular favourite.

North Stoke

North Stoke is a beautiful village, apparently once called the 'Secret Village', which is surrounded by open and unspoilt countryside. It is towaards the top of a small valley and has quite spectacular views of both Bath and Bristol. The Cotswold Way passes close to the edge of the village and therefore there are many excellent walks.

There is a pub in the next village, run by the local brewery, The Swan at Bitton. Additionally there are two golf clubs within a short drive. Bath Racecourse is within a 1 mile walk also.
