Home description
This flat is ideal for people who don't need to spend thousands on a swanky West end address but who do want to experience a true London lifestyle.
There is a private garden to the rear and ample free parking on the surrounding roads.
The area is a haven for actors and musicians and you may well spot some famous names as you feast in the local cafes and restaurants. Some of the often spotted locals include Phil Mitchell from Eastenders, Tamsin Outhwaite, Simon Pegg, various members of Blur and even Bob Dylan used to live nearby! (Sadly no longer).
For business people the flat is around 5 minutes drive from the main A1 and the North Circular Road is around 3 miles due north.
Local facilities include supermarkets, all manner of eateries, petrol stations, parks, cinemas, Patisserie and transport links and excellent pubs including the famous Kings Head pub which has comedy nights each week.

The South East England / Greater London region
Central London is one of the worlds most vibrant and exciting cities. The weather is usually better than you would expect in spring and Autumn but even if it rains this is one city that knows how to cope with wet weather. There is so much to see and do that it is impossible to sum it all up in one or two sentences but here are a few prime ideas to help you decide:
THE LONDON EYE and AQUARIUM are a must see. Located on the South bank, The Eye is a huge ferris wheel that takes 40 minutes to go around and is an amazing experience. WEST END - OXFORD ST. The shopping centres of the world. From the wild prices of Bond St to the cheap and cheerful of Portobello Road London has it all. If you want entertainment, food, theatre art, music or any of a million other delights you can find it all in central London.
For Children the NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM is wonderful education with real dinosaur skeletons, a blue whale and much more. Shaftesbury Avenue is the place for Theatre and musicals.
Arsenal FC is very nearby and the bus goes almost door to door. Tottenham Hotspurs is a little further but easy to get to on the tube (underground) and so is Wembley Stadium. Then of course there are the historical centres around Whitehall, Parliament, Buckingham Palace and so on.
The list is endless. Whatever you want is available. Please check Time Out when you arrive or local free papers for details of current events. Don't forget 2010 and the London Olympics. We will be booking for this in 2009. First come first served! Then of course there is the glittering edifice that is LONDON! And for information on that I recommend a guide book.
North London / Crouch End area
We recommend that you try these:
Park Road Swimming Baths, Queens Wood, and Priory Park for walks and for kids playgrounds. Alexandra Palace with its Ice Rink and park is minutes walk away. There are lots of local parks for children and also a swimming complex 2 minutes away with a covered and open air pool known locally as THE LIDO Highgate Woods and Queens Wood are walkable with the cricket clubs, tennis court and other facilities.
Muswell Hill Shopping Parade and Crouch End have plenty of interesting local shops and pubs etc. Particular favourites of ours are Banners cafe, the patisserie ( around the corner ) The Railway and Queens Head pubs and O's Thai restaurant. All located within 2 minutes walk.
How to get there
Crouch End is a North London suburb with easy access to the Tube, Bus and Rail. The nearest tube stations are Finsbury Park and Highgate.

Further details indoors: The Flat is directly above a Dental Surgery and therefore there is no noise. The surgery is closed after 5.30pm.
It was converted in the last 4 years and is on the First Floor of a large Edwardian Building literally just seconds from the centre of Crouch End. The flat is very comfortable and well furnished and is often used by the owners as a base so it is constantly maintained to the highest standard.
There is a sofa bed in the living room plus a large TV and internet access. All beds are doubles and there is a fold away cot for infants. The kitchen is fully equipped with cups, plates, fridge and freezer and a dishwasher. The flat is gas central heated and is very warm in winter.
There is a phone - all calls are charged at cost, we do not make extortionate charges for the right to call home if you wish. There is a full time manager who lives minutes away and who will ensure that your stay is as trouble free as possible. In the event of a problem he will usually arrive with half an hour to fix any issues. He has been working for us for over 15 years and we have never had a complaint yet.
The flat has two bathrooms - one with an en-suite shower and the other has a bath/shower. Floors are wood and carpet and there is no noise from neighbours at all.
The garden has a small lawn and seating so that you can enjoy all the best of the weather. For smokers it is a small oasis in a busy world and we often find that people spend more time outside than in.
Further details outdoors: Many people arrive by plane and i recommend that you pre-book a cab. It will save you a lot of trouble after a long flight. Local Taxi to Crouch End - 0208 347 9999 or look for mini-cabs on your search engine.
Usually cost about 50 pounds door to door from Heathrow - Gatwick and they will meet you at arrivals so you aren't paying 90+ for a black cab or struggling with suitcases on the stairs at the tube station.

Although you are welcome to enjoy yourselves we are very strict about ensuring that our neighbours and friends in the area are not disturbed. It is an ideal base for families or couples to explore London.

Review of Crouch End property:
Hi Eugene, We and the kids enjoy a lot our holidays in Crouch End and we had a good time in London. We really found everything we need in the appartament except a Spanish coffee maker but we used the kettle trying different kind of English teas. Anyway we will recommend the appartament our best friends!! Thanks and regards. mm
Date of stay: June, 2008
This property was an excellent choice for our family of four. The three bedrooms and two baths provided everyone with enough space. We loved having the kitchen facilities. There was a market within easy walking distance for stocking up on breakfast and snack supplies. There are several restaurants in the neighborhood and the ones we tried were very good. There was a bus stop within a couple of blocks providing easy access to the rest of London. We had a rental car and we did find parking space on the street within a few blocks. The couple who met us with the keys were very nice (especially considering we were considerably later than planned) and helpful.
If we had the opportunity to be in London, we would definitely consider this property again.

This is a genuine review from Rosa Martinez from Spain and yes we can't believe it either!
I love your house, really, We love your house, my friends and I stayed there for a week, believe me, the best week in our lives and it´s because of london and of course your beautiful house and your kindness. I´m always recommending it to my friends, and I´m sure we are going to repeat the visit
The flat was perfect and the neighborhood was wonderful--we loved Queen and Nivan, a Turkish place up the street; the food and wine shops were also great, and we had no trouble getting around, even with the holidays. We didn't have enough time to get to Florian's and couple of other places we wanted to try; maybe next time. Thanks again.
