If you are looking for somewhere that gives you the sense of being in the country but is only 30 minutes from central London, look no further.

This modern ground floor flat in 2 story apartment block is unusually quiet with leafy green surrounds, landscaped gardens and woods nearby. I have lived in London for 49 years and this is nicest place i have lived (and i have moved around a lot!).

With a very comfortable double futon bed and new sofa bed in lounge it easily accommodates 4 adults. The flat is self contained and for your private use only.

Looking out of the lounge and kitchen windows you will see you are surrounded by green trees and plant life. Directly outside the apartment there is a path that leads up onto a hill with open green fields all around and Coppetts Wood, a local nature reserve, is a only a short walk from the flat.

Wireless internet and land line phone, gas hob, washing machine, sheets and towels provided. Own parking space. Big supermarket 5 minutes walk away.

Whilst situated in a well appointed residential area, it's only 30 minutes to central London by train from New Southgate. Buses 43 and 134 going direct to the West End and City of London are at a 5 minute walking distance. Arnos Grove is the nearest tube. North circular makes travelling East and West simple for those who wish to travel by car.

Overall easy access to all London airports.

Highgate Woods (15 minutes by bus) and Alexandra Palace (2 minutes by overground train or 10 minutes by bus) provide great opportunities for walking in some of the nicest green areas in London. Highgate Woods has a lovely cafe and great adventure playground for children.

Camden Town is 30 minutes away by bus and is famous for it's night life; clubs, music venues (Jazz Cafe, Round House), and restaurants. Camden's Markets are a great place to visit from Friday to Sunday; selling goods of all types including fashion (including alternative clothing), lifestyle, books, food and junk/antiques. This area of London is high up and from Primrose Hill you can see much of the city of London.

Hampstead (20 minutes by car) is well worth a visit. Perched on a hill 4 miles north of the city it is an exclusive suburb attached to an enormous, rambling heath. "You can lose yourself on Hampstead Heath and forget that you're in one of the world's largest, noisiest's cities. The heath boasts woods, meadows, hills, bathing ponds and, most important of all space. Also you'll find Kenwood House, a magnificent house re-jigged by Adam in the middle of the 17th century and stuffed with paintings by the likes of Rembrandt, Vermeer and Anthony Van Dyck" (Lonely Planet, Britain, 3rd Edition p205)
