The Apartment primarily sleeps 3 in 5 star luxury (king size and single bed) or up to 5 by utilising an oak single bespoke trundle bed ( for young children only] and a slatted and extra deep sprung double sofa bed if required. Baby Travel cots and lined moses basket are also available upon request. All bedding provided for all guests.

The Large luxurious lounge area is fully equipped with everything needed for a perfect holiday. Featuring 50" 3D HD Plasma TV and Blu Ray DVD with Satellite TV, Home Cinema, Surround Sound, Wii console, Wii Board and games, Free WiFi and Free UK landline telephone calls.

The Lounge also features ample seating including an electric leather recliner in the reading corner by the large window and large sofa/chaise for the ultimate in relaxation. Solid Oak furniture throughout property with oak flooring, Games, both board and electronic, reading material and other entertainment materials all provided. We also provide games/toys for very young children.

The fully equipped kitchen is just like a home from home having a gas hob, double electric oven, dishwasher, integrated full size fridge-freezer, microwave, slow cooker, Stainless Steel Hahn cookware, a kettle, toaster and a coffee maker for fresh coffee. Also included are all the necessary items to allow you to eat at the Apartment in style including Denby crockery, Hahn cookware, heavy gauge cutlery, crystal glassware, and linen napkins. We also provide plastic plates, bowls, cups and cutlery for our younger guests and can offer a high chair too.

We are delighted to provide fresh flowers and a complimentary mini-hamper for each booking containing a selection of local jams, chutneys, bread, fruit, oatcakes, teas, coffees, fresh milk and sugar (please note contents vary depending on seasonal availability). We also put fresh juice and cereal in the Apartment for you. Have your first breakfast on us!

The beautiful contemporary bathroom features a double sized 'couple' shower with body jets and rain head shower, heated towel rail, deluxe heavy weight 800gsm towels, velour bath robes and a heated (demisting), illuminated mirror - perfect for make up application. There's also an electric socket for shavers on the side of the mirror. We also provide luxury full size Cole & Lewis products for use during your stay – shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand soap and hand & body lotion. We also provide complimentary bathroom essentials including a sponge or exfoliating shower mitts, cotton wool balls or cotton buds and eye make up remover wipes.

The master bedroom contains a deep deluxe 5ft King-size mattress and the second bedroom a 3ft Single mattress. Both mattresses are pocket sprung underneath for excellent lumbar support topped with memory foam for the ultimate in comfort. Both bedrooms offer a choice of pillows from the Pillow Menu, with options on bedding too. Beds are made up with 300 thread count white top hotel quality bedding which is complimented with decorative cushions and bed runners in keeping with the room decor. A double duvet bed set is in place in the single bedroom to ensure a high quality of comfort. All mattresses feature deluxe mattress protectors and the pillows all feature pillow protectors. Additional duvets are in the property so that you can change if necessary between 4.5 and 7.5 tog duvets depending on your comfort levels.

Both bedrooms offer Flat Panel HD TV and DVDs and radio alarm clocks with ipod docking stations. Both bedrooms are also fitted with black out blinds to ensure those long lie ins are not disturbed (vital during the summer months when the sun pops up long before most holiday makers). There is excellent master bedroom storage with 2 oak wardrobes and a chest of drawers. Both rooms feature full length mirrors. Hairdryers are provided in both rooms.

We can offer travel cots (up to 3) and/or a moses basket for our young guests with cotton bedding for each. For bookings with younger guests, we fit door safety catches to our doors and plug covers to all exposed plug sockets.

Overall, The Imperial Apartment is finished to a very high quality, the oak furniture and floorings are complemented with cream walls, white coving and original oil paintings of North Berwick scenes throughout. All paintings in the Apartment are for sale as are limited edition giclee prints of the works on display. All paintings are by Artist Tracey Pacitti, co-owner of The Imperial Apartment.

Golfers may like to know that Muirfield (hosts of the 2013 Open Championship) is only 4.5 miles from The Imperial Apartment, as are the splendid new courses at the Archerfield Estate. There are a further 15 golf courses within a 20 minute drive of the Apartment. Whilst our Apartment is situated on the 2nd floor of the former Imperial Hotel, we offer a large ground floor, heated room to store golf caddies and to dry golf or walking clothing.

For non-golfers, the vibrant and bustling High Street of North Berwick, with its abundance of quality and unique shops, art galleries and restaurants, is only 2 steps from the apartment's front door.

Don't forget that beautiful Edinburgh, capital of Scotland is only 20 miles away (30 minutes by car or can be reached direct from the regular trains that stop at North Berwick station).

"A beautifully furnished and well equipped apartment."

The accommodation was lovely. Furnished and equipped to a high specification throughout. It made an ideal base for a break in North Berwick.

"It does what it says on the tin"

Brilliant apartment everything you need for your stay. Spotlessly clean and so much attention to detail. The welcome basket was much appreciated, being able to make that brew on arrival was great. Fantastic location near to the town and beach, we even left the car in favour of the train for a day out in Edinburgh. Slept so well in the comfortable bed and having a choice of pillows was one of those little things most letters would never think about - nice thought Tracey! We cooked, we ate out, we chilled watching some great DVD's. Had a laugh with the Wi - but really needed some kids with us to show us how to use it properly. A fantastic winter break thanks to Tracey.

"It was absolutely perfect!"

The apartment is very nice. It has all things what you need...from allergy bedline to towels and a washing / dishwasher ...everything what you need for a nice stay!
The basket with all the groceries for the first days and the nice flowers, give you warmly welcome, too!
The renter are very friendly. If you have any problems you can always speak to them, if you need.
We are sure we will came back!

"The BEST self-catering accommodation I have ever stayed in!"

I have stayed in number of self-catering facilities in Scotland over the years but this one is without a shadow of a doubt the best apartment yet. I often find the self-catering properties poorly equipped, run down, not particularly clean and generally disappointing for the price you pay. The Imperial Apartment truly is a home away from home which offers everything and more for the perfect holiday.

The apartment is located right in the heart of North Berwick just two minutes' walk from the beach and two minutes' walk from the Lodge grounds which boast a beautiful garden and park. The High Street shopping street is just outside the door too offering a wonderful selection of bespoke shops. There are several restaurants virtually at the door step and free parking behind the property.

This was the first time we had travelled with a baby. Our daughter was just seven weeks so cleanliness and adequate facilities were a must for us. We found all we needed inside the apartment. Not only that it is beautifully furnished to the highest standard but it was also sparkling clean. To our surprise the owners kindly provided everything we needed for the baby including the travel cot with bedding, moses basket with bedding, baby toiletries, baby bath, baby towels, muslin squares and even a nursing pillow.

Travelling with a baby I could not appreciate more the well-stocked utility room with washer-dryer and everything you need to get your clothes sorted including washing powder, conditioner and even Vanish for the nasty stains!

Everything in the apartment shows that the owners are meticulous about detail and one feels really spoiled. There is quality bedding, choice of pillows, lush towels after that relaxing time under the rain shower and luxurious toiletries. So don´t even bother to bring your own shampoo or shower gel.

The kitchen/living room provides a wonderful place to relax and have fun too. Equipped with quality dishes, Baumatic dishwasher, fridge-freezer, oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, espresso maker I can´t think of anything you will miss away from home.

The living room has got a huge cosy sofa, two arm chairs and a huge flat screen telly to make everyone comfortable. There is a wii console, free internet and even free phone! The oak furniture throughout the apartment makes it look really beautiful.

I could go on and on about the place which made a truly positive impression on me. I think Scotland definitely needs more of these. I would not hesitate to recommend the Imperial Apartment to anyone and I will definitely bring my family back there.
