Set in forty acres of lush, landscaped gardens
and tropical vegetation with ocean views and its
own secluded beach, Nonsuch Bay is a luxury private
resort of beach cottages, villas and apartments.
In its design and everyday ethos, Nonsuch Bay offers
residents and visitors alike an authentic Antiguan
experience within this very elegant setting. Guests are
invited to be as relaxed or as active as
they please; pure and simple.
The protected bay and consistent warm trade
winds are outstanding for sailing and the resort
offers first class equipment and instruction for
all ages and abilities. Private childcare can be arranged
throughout the day and there are organised sailing
and other activities for older children. There are three
swimming pools including an infinity pool with dramatic
views over the bay. The resort offers an in-room spa menu,
offering a range of wellness treatments.
The stunning restaurant occupies a commanding position on
an outdoor covered terrace at the club house with views
over the bay and the activities at the beach.
Apartments are located in West Indian Georgian
Colonial buildings within a few minutes’ walk
of the palm-fringed sandy beach. The interiors
are spacious and light with high ceilings
and large living areas opening onto oversized
verandas with outdoor furniture and all
enjoy fabulous views of Nonsuch Bay.
Interiors are decorated in a clean, luxurious
style with hardwood floors, white walls
and contemporary furniture. Apartments include
modern, well-equipped Studio Becker kitchens
featuring Viking appliances and Kohler hardware.
They are fully air-conditioned and include flat
screen TVs, cable television, and i-pod
compatible sound systems.
The Standard three bedroom units have 1900 sq. ft.
of interior space and, with a vast living and dining area,
the Mezzanine units have 2500 sq. ft. They all have
fully-fitted kitchens with dishwasher, washer/dryer,
large refrigerator and a full inventory of crockery, cutlery
and glassware. The open plan living and dining areas lead
onto generous covered terraces with outdoor furniture for
al fresco dining and relaxing. Bathrooms have combinations
of showers and separate Jacuzzi bathtubs and double vanities.

Watersports are at the very heart of the Nonsuch
Bay Resort and its sailing facilities are first class.
Avocet Sailing is equipped with dinghies,
catamarans and keelboats and offers professional
sailing instruction for all ages and abilities.
Guests can enjoy exploring the bay by kayak
or paddle board or can arrange some kitesurfing.
Uninhabited Green Island with its superb beaches
is just a short boat ride away. It makes a great base
for snorkelling around its shores and over the adjoining
coral reef. A club launch can whisk you over there
or you can take a cruising dinghy or catamaran.
The conditions at Nonsuch Bay are outstanding
for small boat sailing. The two square miles
of enclosed waters are protected from the
open sea by a barrier reef and the bay faces
the consistent and warm trade winds.
Richard Chadburn runs Avocet Sailing
with an experienced team. With invaluable
sailing and hospitality experience; Richard is a
world champion dinghy sailor and a professional
superyacht skipper, and he was formerly the
manager at Antigua Yacht Club and a sailing
instructor at European beach resorts.
Avocet’s fleet of sailboats is built around the
modern range from LDC Racing Sailboats
supplemented by Hobie Cat beach catamarans.
In addition to a range of dinghies, there are 24ft RS
Elite keelboats. These modern classics offer the stability
and security of a yacht, striking America’s Cup style lines
and fast and responsive sailing for crews of up to four adults.
Avocet’s sailing programme is part of the Inclusive
Package at Nonsuch Bay offering a “white glove”
sailing service, group tuition, refresher courses,
technique clinics and trips and activities for all ages
and abilities. Additionally we are happy to organise
private sailing instruction or kitesurfing courses.
Outside the resort the range of available
activities includes a choice of golf courses, game
fishing, scuba diving, yacht charters, island tours
by land and sea, marine safaris and - for the
more adventurous - zipwiring through the tropical
forests and helicopter tours, including over the
island of Montserrat and its awe-inspiring volcano.
Antigua also has many opportunities for exploration
and relaxation. English Harbour is home to
historic Nelson’s Dockyard, boutiques, art galleries,
restaurants and bars. The capital, St John’s,
has a wide range of fashion boutiques,
markets and duty-free shopping.

Rolling green hills, picturesque villages, a lush and enchanted stretch of rainforest and the beautiful white beaches paint make up the landscape of Antigua. It is a beautiful getaway and many tourists enjoy the energetic island culture but also the peace and tranquility that the surrounding seas bring. The Antigua region
Antigua promises visitors that “The beach is just the beginning”, and indeed, the 365 beautiful white sandy beaches are only a small part of what makes this still original and charming little island so attractive and popular with guests from all over the world. Rolling green hills, picturesque villages, a lush and enchanted stretch of rainforest and the most beautiful, pristine beaches imagined paint the landscape of Antigua.
The capital of Antigua is St. John's and easily distinguished by its landmark, the impressive white baroque towers of St. John's Anglican cathedral, first built in 1843. The town is a charming mixture of old and new. There is a cruise ship port and duty free shopping not far from the historic museum and picturesque Redcliffe Quay, where restored old warehouses now host a variety of lovely little shops and cafes. The St. John's market is a great opportunity to marvel at exotic spices, fruits, vegetables and fish that come in all forms and colors.
Before its independence in 1981, Antigua was an English colony and historic buildings and hulks scattered all over the island are remaining witnesses of this bygone era. Nelson's Dockyard located in the south in English Harbour is the only preserved Georgian Yacht Harbor in the world and the island's most famous relic.
English Harbour and Galley Bay is a the region where Rental Butler features some of their most exclusive villas on island. Another location with stylish, luxurious properties and breathtaking views is Jolly Harbour on the West Coast. Both harbours are situated in beautiful landscapes and become quite active in April during Antigua's famous annual Sailing Week.
