Nogaro, Gers, Three bedroom Cottage self catering, plus swimming pool in grounds of magnificant Manor House Available for long term rental
Peace and tranquility, comfortable accomodation set in the grounds of a 200 year old beautiful french Manor House.in 5 acres of secluded grounds a former vineyard surrounded by vines. In a small hamlet approx 5kms from Nogaro. Situated in a quiet hamlet at the end of a long private drive, it is a safe enviroment for children. On the site of a former Napoleonic chateau with magnificent old trees and beautiful barns containing old wine vats. There are magnificent views of surrounding vineyards and beautiful countryside beyond. Shops and restaurants within 6km. British owner lives discretely on site and maintains high standards. Easily accessible are Pyrenees Mountains and lovely Atlantic beaches.
My two horses are in the fields nearbye.

At the end of a private drive a good nights sleep assured. 25 mins from Jazz at Marciac, also ideal for the racing circuit at Nogaro. Swimming lakes 15 minutes bars and restaurants 10 minutes in Nogaro or Aignan.
There is one shower room with toilet and wash hand basin but there is also a seperate toilet with washhand basin.

.The property is down a long private drive in a small hamlet surrounded by grapevines 5 kms from Aignan in the Gers. Previously known as Gascony, its an ideal country location with stunning scennery. You can walk miles without meeting traffic on quiet country lanes. Eat outside at the many country restaurants where children are always welcome. Very accessible are the Pyrenees mountains that you can visit by car on a day trip basis or surf on the Beautiful Atlantic beaches. Alternativly drive 5kms to one of the many swimming lakes with sandy beaches or just make yourself comfortable on your sunlounger by the imaculate pool.
Fly to Pau, Biaritz, Toulouse, Bordeaux or take the over night ferry to St Malo or any of the other ferry ports.

The Nogaro / Sion area

The Gers region lies south of Bordeaux east of 200K stretch of white sandy Atlantic beaches

Its famous cuisine includes foie gras, confit de canard and magret de canard.

The Gers has mild early springs, long languorous summers which continue into October. this relativly dry climate is ideal for al-fresco dining.

“A peaceful retreat in real rural France, lovely walks, friendly neighbours and helpful owner .” The perfect place to switch off from a hectic lifestyle. Peace abound, total privacy., plenty of safe garden space for the grandchildren Everything we needed was supplied by a very helpful owner on site. We hope to return one day soon.

“The best 'get away from it all' holiday destination we have ever been to!” We have been holidaying at La Taste for 10 years and are already booked for next year. The cottage is comfortable with all necessary household facilities and is beautifully clean and well presented and there is also wifi and UK TV. The grounds are delightful and the area is peaceful. The swimming pool is wonderful in a lovely pool garden. Nogaro has good supermarkets and nice bars and restaurants. The Gers is full of interesting places to visit including day trips to the Pyrenees, Andorra and the Pic du Midi. The dark night skies around La Taste make it a great place for amateur astronomers because with no streetlight pollution you can see many more stars. Mrs Kelly is a wonderfully attentive host who pulls out all the stops to ensure you have great holiday. The worst thing about La Taste is leaving to come home.
