Home description
This classic Danish summerhouse has a modern interior and the house has internet connection. The house has three nicely decorated bedrooms and a bathroom with shower and washing machine. The kitchen is very modern and has dishwasher. From the kitchen you have open to access to the living room with TV. By the double doors you enter the sunny, outdoor terrace with barbecue. From the terrace you have a nice view over the fields with horses. From the house, there beach is only 300 metres away.
2 km. away the historic fishing village Kikhavn gives you a historic flashback to ancient Denmark, where fishery was an important trade. In the small village there is a restaurant also selling ice cream.
5 km. away, Hundested is the major harbour of the area, still with a lot of life on the harbour. Buy your fresh fish and take a walk in the small town, where you can also visit some local art shops.
20 km. away, Hillerød is the major town of the area. The most important attraction is the famous Frederiksborg Castle, where the kings went in the summer from Copenhagen. By visiting the castle, you will be able to explore the 16th century life in the Danish upper class. 20 km. further away in Helsingør, you will find another important castle: Kronborg. This castle and the castle Tjärnan in the Swedish town Helsingborg was built to control the narrow straight “Øresund”. This way all ships had to pay tax to pass. Furthermore,
Copenhagen is less than one hour drive away.

The Zealand / Copenhagen / North Zealand region
When it comes to scenery, this region boasts some of the finest and most impressive scenery in the whole of Denmark. Northern Sealand is the people from Copenhagens' preferred area, as it has beautiful beaches, cosy villages and historical towns. Furthermore, it is know for its three castles (Frederiksborg Slot, Kronborg and Fredensborg Slot), the latter the summer recidense of the royal family.
For tourist, the easy access to Copenhagen by car or train is an additional advantage.

Among the many attractions in Ordrup we find Dragsholm Castle - the oldest in Denmark - and Højby Church with its unique frescos from the 1400 s.
In Odsherred you find all kinds of activities for the whole family. Families with children may enjoy the large Sommerland Sjælland with more than 50 activities or the Odsherred Mini Zoo.
Odsherred is also known for its many painters. This becomes apparent during a visit to the Odsherred Art Museum and to the many galleries and showrooms in Odsherred.
