Apartment | 2 bedrooms | sleeps 5
Our Pont Vieux apartment has 2 bedrooms. The character and charm of the apartment is complemented with recent modernisations such as double glazing, new lighting and a recently fitted, fully equipped kitchen. We recently renovated the apartment so everything inside is new and in great condition. The apartment has heaps of historic and romantic charm, with French beamed ceilings, period shutters and high ceilings. The most unique feature is the original painting which still exists on the entrance ceiling and dates back to at least the 1800’s when apparently this building was a former palace!!!

The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur region
The South of France is the perfect holiday destination all year round. Nice for example offers the very rare possibility of going skiing in the Alps in the morning and spending the afternoon on a beautiful Mediterranean beach. A perfect place for xmas or new year with family and friends. With a traditional xmas village in the hear of Nice, superb restaurants and festive fireworks on the beach to celebrate the arrival of the new year!
Due to the very impressive public transport system in Nice you can reach most destinations by bus, train or tram in a timely and efficient manner. Local areas of interest include: Monaco, St Tropez, Antibes, Italy, Corsica, nearby mountains and Ski resorts etc.
Right on the doorstep you have the fantastic Cours Saleya market, where you can buy fresh fish, flowers and fruit and veg throughout the week. The Old Town (Vieux Nice) is full of windy pedestrian roads awash with cafés & bistros, typical French boulangeries and an abundance of Nice’s best restaurants. A typical day in Nice can range from sunbathing on a Mediterranean beach, Roller blading down the chic Promenade des Anglais, walking in the hills, watching a ballet at the Opera, soaking in the Jazz at the famous Nice Jazz Festival, taking a Riviera boat trip and much, much more! Rich in history and culture you’ll never be stuck for something to do, anytime of year.

"Great location, great apartment."
Stayed here with my mum and baby son. Easy trip in from airport and 2 minute walk to apt, even with bags, buggies etc. Perfect location, everything literally on your doorstep, bars, cafes, restaurants, shops, promenade, beach, sightseeing. Very well equipped and lovely decor. Really enjoyed our time in Nice and in the apt. Would recommend.

A lovely apartment in a really excellent location. Great character and I thought it was lovely. My only slight criticism was that there was only one fan, which made nighttime sleeping arrangements difficult because you needed a fan to sleep as it was so hot. However, I would thoroughly recommend it and would be very happy to stay again.

"If I could come back tomorrow, I would. Highly recommended!"
Great location, a welcoming, friendly atmosphere and the most tasteful decor I've ever seen in a holiday rental; we felt at home in minutes! A stress-free key handover and warm welcome from Mike at Nice and Easy plus plenty of useful tips in the 'Welcome Pack' - a super idea.
My only, minor gripe is regarding the rather tricky manoevers involved with locking the front door. I'm glad my (taller and stronger than me) son was there!
I would certainly book this flat again, and have already heartily recommended it to friends.

"Wonderful apartment in Nice, offering great value and a fabulous location."
I stayed at the Pont Vieux apartment with my partner and my parents for my 30th birthday. We were all very impressed with the apartment and it certainly contributed towards a wonderful birthday and a very memorable trip to Nice. The apartment is spacious and well decorated and it proved to be an ideal base for our stay. The location of the apartment is superb. All of us who visited hope to return to stay there again.
The check in was excellent and we were met outside the apartment and shown around.
Taking into consideration the price, the location and the quality of the apartment I would highly recommend staying at Pont Vieux.

"Ideal location in the very centre of the old town, ideal for exploring."
Apartment is located in central old town a few doors away from the cathedral. Very vibrant and perfect location as all the shops, restaurants and markets are right on your doorstep. Not so good if you're looking for a quiet getaway as some noise from local bars until late hours. However we loved listening to the cathedral bells peeling in the evening.
Would recommend a visit to Monaco (only 1 euro by bus). Also the train trip to Annot in the Alps is absolutely stunning. Public transport in Nice is excellent, particularly the new tram system, so we would say don't bother hiring a car here.

"Excellent Apartment in the Centre of Old Nice"
I booked this apartment through the holidaylettings.co.uk website and could not have been more pleased with the results. Once or twice a year I take my mother ( now 75 ) on a European city break. We have visited Nice before and decided the old town was the place to stay. Booking was easy as was payment and we were met by a key holder on arrival. The apartment was on the third floor of an old and authentic building, the standard of decoration was very high. I would happily live there. On the morning of the first day we went to a tiny shop in the next street about 25 seconds away and bought coffee, butter, sugar milk etc. After a nice cup of tea we found a patisserie just up the street from the supermarket ( 200 metres or two mins away ) and bought a beautiful lunch of Pan Bagnat, goats cheese pizza and apple tart which we ate on a little table outside the shop. On the way back to the house we booked a table at a rotisserie restaurant next to the supermarket. After a short rest ( Alarm clock had been set for 3am that morning ) we walked through the old town to the north and found the big MonoPrix supermarket and then walked down to the Port, strolled about there, then had a beer and tea over looking the boats. Back to the apartment, then out for our evening meal then early bed. Next morning popped out early and bought croissants and a baguette for breakfast. The Flower market is a three minute walk away and we visited it three times to by cooked food as well as salad ingredients. The apartment is also very close to the main transport routes, whilst no traffic is allowed near the apartment due to the tiny streets it is very easy to get to the buses and trams. We visited Monte Carlo, Antibes, Villefranche sur Mere, Beaulieu, Eze sur Mer and Eze Bord amongst others. It took three mins to walk to the bus stops and a seven day ticket for the bus and trams was 15 euros. The food in Nice was lovely and we didn't have a bad meal. The apartment was wonderful, very clean, we were able to get the BBC World service on the telly. I found an internet cafe a few mins away to keep in contact. All in all we had a wonderful time and will return in the next few years. Highly recommended.
