Home description
Steeped in history this apartment dates back to the 1800's with its old winding staircase and wooden shutters. Inside of course it has been entirely modernised and Italian designed. The bonus is that it boasts two en suite bathrooms, one with bath/shower attachment and one with shower enclosure. There is a separate toilet.
This is ideal for a family of 4 or maybe two couples sharing the cost. There is a double bed in the back bedroom and two singles in the front bedroom with awesome view of the cathedral and the hubbub below.
There is a brand new American style kitchen with eating area and Large TV with home cinema. Please bring some favourite dvds with you . All cooking facilities are provided in the kitchen if you wish to shop in the cours saleya for local produce but if you cannot resist the smell of those pizzas, just step right out the door!

The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Alpes-Maritimes region
Apart from the obvious beach activities there are many museums, galleries and designer shops in Nice itself. Just wondering the streets to admire the architecture and to stop for a cup of coffee/lunch can fill a whole day.
In February there is the carnival but most weekends in the summer there are special events on the promenade which is a haven for cyclists, joggers and bladers.
Just a short drive up into the hills gives the most wonderful coastal views and an insight into the luxurious villas hidden away behind trees. Christmas is magical with many extra attractions.
Nice / Vieux Nice area
Enclosed within a maize of old town cobbled streets, the apartment has been standing proudly for 200 years in the famous Place Rossetti, with its typical buldings in red and yellow ochres and overlooking the ancient white stone fountain in the centre. A lone sax player and the excited chatter of visitors all competing with the sound of children playing round the fountain, gives a typical nicois experience comparable to none.
hrough the large windows there is a view straight onto the historic Baroque Cathédrale Sainte-Réparte built in 1690 in honour of an early martyr, aged only 15, who was made patron saint of Nice. Old Nice is lively and bustling, the air is perfumed with the scent of lavender bags and soaps.
There is an array of little shops and cafe's, not least the the renowned Fenocchio in Place Rossetti itself which offers the city's best Ice cream . By night the lighting gives a magical aspect and music reverberates the walls of the small square. Just a few minutes walk to the flower market and the beach, this is an ideal holiday location for fun lovers . The bus station and tram are just on the doorstep for exploring the region.

Reviews for Place Rossetti Nice, France
Oct 09 Neale75 Sunderland, UK Review Submitted: October 9, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009 Fabulous apartment decorated and furnished to an incredibly high standard. It was perfectly located in the centre of Old Town looking down over a beautiful square where the best ice cream shop in the world (or at least Nice) is located. It's only a few minutes walk to loads of bars, restaurants and the beach. We were met by the apartment manageress who was incredibly friendly and was happy to advise on places to see and do etc. I would highly recommend this apartment. Owner's Response: Wow! Glad you guys had such a good time there and hope you did not eat too much ice cream. Its a pleasure for us to have such friendly guests too!! Rating 5 out of 5
A room with a view! Skippy1 United Kingdom Review Submitted: September 6, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009 I have just returned from 8 days in Nice, and the trip was made all the more enjoyable by our accommodation. The flat is extremely well finished, and well decorated. Both bedrooms have their own bathroom, and there is a separate toilet, which was very convenient when there are two parties staying. The kitchen is brand new and well equipped, as is the sound system. The best feature however is without a doubt the location. For those who haven't been, Place Rossetti is in the heart of the old town. The flat overlooks the square, straight onto the church opposite. Underneath is one of a number of the old town's many restaurants, and the adjacent is the world famous Fenocchio's Ice-cream Parlor. The flat is surrounded by fantastic places to eat both in the old town itself and further afield if you feel like a stroll. Overall the flat is fantastically situated and has everything you need for a great stay in Nice. Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and we are pleased the apartment was so well located and designed for your needs. Hopefully we will see you again!

Great new apartment mauricewellner Haarlem, the Netherlands Review Submitted: September 1, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009 Me, my friend and my parents stayed in this apartment during the last week of August.
When we arrived we were received by a very friendly host. The apppartment was everything the disciption promised. Everything in the apartment was very clean and it was big enough for the four of us.
We would certainly recommend this apartment and there is big chance we will visit it again in the future.
The location is very central to al the sight seeing. Just downstairs you can find the best ice cream we very tasted. Owner's Response: Excellent Maurice, Its reputed to be the best ice cream in town!
Rating 5 out of 5 July 2009 Absolutely Superb Apartment Keithifa Chester, Cheshire, England Review Submitted: July 24, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009 We stayed in this apartment in JULY 2009 and we have over 10 years of experience of apartments and hotels in Nice. We we can highly recommend this one, it is an absolute bargain and we would not hesitate to book again. The rooms are light, airy, excellent sizes, double glazed and all have heating. There are beautiful new wooden floors throughout and the 2 superb bedrooms are both on suite, with lovely tiled floors and walls in the bathrooms and one of the best walk in showers we have ever seen. All fixtures and fittings including the kitchen are of an extremely high quality and everything is brand new. There is a separate toilet and a washing machine and every other facility one could expect. There is even a large high quality slim LCD TV with a surround sound system. The outlook from the 2 front windows is nothing short of stunning with an uninterrupted view of a beautiful Baroque 17th century Cathedral and diners in a lovely square with fountain
If you want to be in the old town where most of the action and night life is but only a 10 minute walk from the Beach and the centre of Nice at Place Massena, this apartment offers it all. The exterior front of the apartment building is very nice but the entrance is typical of many old Nice buildings and being on the 3rd floor with no lift would not suit disabled or infirm people but the stairs are very wide and when one opens the apartment door there is simply that WOW factor. The apartment owner and local agent are both really considerate and helpful people too. Keith, Heather & Daniel Owner's Response: Thank you so much Keith. Its extremely rewarding to get a good review at the very beginning and we hope to have many happy holiday makers to follow you over this first summer. We look forward to your return visit.
