The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Alpes-Maritimes region
Sunshine, beaches, restaurants on terraces and cafes with impromptu live jazz. Nice is replete with culture, 2nd only to Paris for museums, and gastronomy with many Michelin star restaurants. Monaco is 15 minutes by train, with the world famous casino and Grand Prix, and 25 minutes in the opposite direction is Cannes full of events and festivals.
During winter and spring a bus goes straight to the ski resorts such Isola and Valberg. Unlike many tourist areas, Nice is a living working city so does not die outside of July/August. It has a mild climate and a busy local scene all year around. There are many medieval villages to explore, such as Eze and St Paul de Vence. Or many prefer to simply unwind with a glass of rose on a sunny terrace in the historic Old Town, followed by a meal outside of the reasonably priced Nicois cuisine.
Nice / Central Nice area
The apartment is perfectly located to explore Nice on foot, with the historic Old Town only five minutes by foot but far enough away to avoid the excessive pedestrians and noise. The building, built in 1875, is in a road with excellent local restaurants. They serve good value for money meals, around 8e50 for dish of the day, but you may need to brush up on your French as they only serve the locals and you will be the only English speaking people there.
The apartment is also next to the bus station allowing you to explore the surrounding area by bus (1 euro to anywhere, including Monaco and Cannes). There is also a public parking 50m from the apartment should you have your own or a hire car. Luxury car hire can be arranged upon request.
How to get there
Excellent air, rail and road links. Nice is France's second largest airport, serviced by most airlines including budget airlines such as Easyjet and Ryan Air. The airport shuttle travels to within 2 minutes of the apartment.

Reservation can be made by e-mail or phone. To confirm and ensure your booking a deposit of 30% of the total rental amount must be paid at the reservation. The remaining 70% must be paid 4 weeks before the arrival.
If reservation is made within 4 weeks of arrival date, the full rental amount must be paid at the reservation. Payments to be made by bank transfer.
Refundable breakages deposit of £250 in cash or travellers cheque required on arrival, to be refunded on departure (subject to satisfactory property inspection).
