This is a modern well equipped apartment in an extremely convenient location within two minutes of the fabulous modern tramway on Nice’s main shopping street, Avenue Jean Medecin, two minutes from the bustling Pedestrian zone with shops restaurants and bars, five minutes walk to the Promenade des Anglais and the sea, and beach , and five minutes walk to the Old Town, Cours Saleya with the market and fantastic bars, restaurants, and shops. Nice also has numerous museums, art galleries, and the opera house.
The tramway gives access in five minutes to the main SNCF railway station in one direction and Nice Port within easy walking distance if taken five minutes in the other direction.
Although the apartment is centrally located it is in a quiet street and conservation area overlooking the oldest Russian Orthodox church in Nice with its magnificent dome.

The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Alpes-Maritimes region
Historically the Cote d’Azur was a favourite winter destination with the British and Russian aristocracy and it can truly be considered an all year round resort due to its exceptional climate and ease of access by plane train and road with Nice airport just a 20 minute bus journey away from the main tourist beaches shopping areas and historic parts of the city.
There are many regular events which take place either in Nice or nearby, February, the fantastic world famous Nice Carnival. March, the Paris Nice Cycle race. April, the Nice boat show. May, Monaco Grand Prix and Cannes Film festival, July, Nice Jazz festival, to name but a few.
The Alpes Maritime ski resorts are under two hours away by public transport. Nice is applying for the Winter Olympics in 2018!
There are also great golf courses in the area.
Nice / Carre d'Or area
Nice is a fantastic city offering something for everyone. There are many museums and art galleries and a magnificent Opera House.
There are two international casinos numerous historic churches and buildings open to the public and a choice of chic private beaches and public ones too. Lunch on the beach on New Years day is an unforgettable experience.
Across the gardens Albert Premiere is the newly set out Place Massena with its fountain and modern sculptures across which the tram crosses and which leads to the Old Town. There you will find the vibrant Cours Saleya with its daily flower market, weekly antiques market and numerous bars and restaurants specialising in seafood pizzas and the local speciality Socca.
From the Cours Salaya narrow streets spread into the Old Town with trendy clothing shops food delicatessens and art galleries.
Above the old town is the site of the ancient Chateau from where there are wonderful views in all directions over the port to one side and the Baie des Anges (literally Bay of Angels) to the other.
By train or bus within easy travelling distance you can visit Villefranche, Monaco, Menton in one direction, Antibes and Cannes in the other and there are daily boats from the Port to St. Tropez.
To the hinterland of Nice there are the Alpes Maritime with winter skiing and all year round train trips through fantastic mountain scenery on the historic Chemin du Fer, the station for which is again just off the Nice tramway.
Short bus journeys away are historic St. Paul de Vence and Eze, fine examples of mediaeval “hanging villages”. Something for Everyone!
How to get there
Nice airport is served by many budget airlines including Easyjet and Jet2 and rail links from all parts of Europe.
An enjoyable holiday in the centre of Nice does not require a car and there are good cheap reliable public service transport to most nearby areas including ski resorts in less than two hours.
To explore the hinterland a car can be hired for short periods from nearby car hire (two streets away from apartment).
The train station is 2 stops away on the tramway , and frequent services run the length of the cote d'Azur including Monaco, Cannes, Antibes as far as Italy to the east and Marseilles to the west.
Local bus services from the Gare Routiere are cheap and frequent and go along the beautiful coastal route or up into the mountains behind Nice to places like Vence and St Paul de Vence .
The fantastic tramway is on the next street to the apartment and takes you to the port area and the train station , a second route is planned to run along the promenade des Anglais .

Further details indoors: The apartment is a one bedroom with king sized double bed. It has a properly sprung double sofa bed in the lounge, with fully fitted American kitchen, fitted with stylish Italian appliances. Breakfast bar with bar stools, and separate dining area. It is fully tiled throughout.
All the furniture fittings and equipment like the apartment are modern and new. Each window has electric shutters and the bedroom and lounge windows also have curtains. There is a small outside balcony, with views of the golden dome of the Russian church, accessed from the living area.
The bathroom has a full sized bath and also has an efficient Grohe shower over and glass screen. The WC is separate.
There is a video entry phone system, and a lift.

We are flexible on change over dates and short breaks which means that the best deals on flights can be obtained.
The apartment would suit either two couples or a couple and one other person or one child. Two children would have to share the double sofa bed.
The property is on the first floor but there is also a modern lift
