Bright, charming and spacious one bedroom self-catering apartment in the centre of Nice and only 750 meters from the beach and Promenade des Anglais.
The apartment is on the 3rd floor of a beautiful 1920’s Art Deco building (no lift). It is light, bright and airy as the ceilings are 12 feet high with all rooms opening off a terrazzo floored entrance which follows through into the Kitchen and Bathroom. There are parquet floors in the Living room and the Bedroom and both rooms have French doors (with shutters) opening onto Juliette balconies overlooking mature gardens.
The local boulangerie is at the corner of the street as is the supermarket. The street also offers a pharmacy, post office and laundrette. Whilst there are restaurants and shops just minutes away from the apartment, the very popular Massena pedestrian precinct is just 10 minutes walk away and has an abundance of open air restaurants and bars, chic shops and street entertainment. This area leads onto the beautiful Place Massena. (Impressive to see lit up at night.)

On the third floor of a four storey building, for much of the day the apartment is in the cooling shade and if the shutters are closed and the full length windows are left open, one can return after a hard day on the beach to the cool and tranquility of the apartment. The flat also contains a powerful but silent fan which provides a current of cool air should the temperature rise.

It is very close to all amenities with a supermarket, boulangeries, Patisseries chemist, medical centre, dry cleaners and Post Office and bus stop all on the street.
The La Buffa covered market, selling top quality fresh produce and a wide range of local specialities is close by. There are numerous city bus routes passing the building including one which serves the airport. A car is not necessary.

Geographically, Nice is sandwiched between Cannes and Monte Carlo and has excellent bus and train connections to both. It is one of the few European cities to have such a well connected airport within ten minutes of the city centre.
To the west, take the bus 94 or 400 to St Paul de Vence, (takes 40 mins) by train to Biot, Antibes and complete the journey to Cannes which is about 25 minutes from Nice and just an hour from St Tropez.
To the East, Monte Carlo is a14 minute train journey away. It is only around 65 minutes to the Val D'Isere ski resort on the Italian border. The journey to Italy takes you through Villefranche, Eze, Menton and Monaco and is definitely worth while visiting.
The Nice / Musicians' Quarter area
The apartment is a 5 minute walk from the Promenade des Anglais were you can relax and soak up the sun or spend a leisurely breakfast or lunch at one of the many seaside restaurants or try some of the water sports available during the summer months. It is also a short walk to the train station (12mins). It is therefore an ideal location for doing day trips to neighbouring Monaco, Antibes and Cannes
Avenue Jean Medecin is the main shopping street and is an18 minutes walk away. There is a choice of high street fashion to designer boutiques and of course more cafes. The old town is 22 minutes walk away. Here you will find restaurants and bars in abundance as well as a large selection of shops providing hand crafted jewellery, clothes, gifts and local art. A visit to the famous ‘Cours Saleya’ market is a must. (If preferred there is a bus stop on the street and this travels towards Avenue Jean Medecin, the Old Town and the Port.) Don't bother with car hire, transport in Nice is cheap and efficient with a choice of tram, bus or train. Buses and trams are 1 euro pp and with a bus stop on the street, your options are limitless.
For those whose interests lie particularly in culture, explore the many museums and art galleries in town including the Matisse Museum, Chagall Museum and the renowned Museum of Contemporary Art . There are also numerous historical buildings and beautiful places of worship that are well worth a visit.
This apartment is very popular with holidaying couples who want a very central location close to where all the action takes place, but away from the late night hustle & bustle of the pedestrianised streets. The opera, casinos, museums, pubs, restaurants and shopping on offer can certainly keep you busy! All in all, the apartment is perfect for a romantic getaway, break with friends, a birthday/ anniversary celebration or simply a holiday away from the office. It is an ideal 'pied-a-terre' from where you can explore all the great things the beautiful French Riviera has to offer!
Nice has a Mediterranean climate making it generally quite mild in the winter months with moderate rainfalls. As summer approaches the weather certainly warms up, temperatures can reach an average of 28°C - 32°C with blue sky! Imagine walking along the Promenade at sunset it’s never that cold and the atmosphere is just so NICE!!
