The south of France is a popular holiday destination and Nice can provide a large selection of things to do and see for short breaks or longer. The warm climate, azur blue sea and the nearby mountain ranges and ski resorts provide a huge variety whatever your interest. Scuba diving, snorkeling, swimming, jet skis and much, much more are nearby if you choose to stay at the coast. Easy to reach, the mountains provide another aspect to this diverse region from hill walking, mountain biking, canoeing, skiing to simply discovering and exploring the many medieval villages.
Nice / Port of Nice area
Nice offers something for everyone. Great shopping - from designer labels to local produce. There are several museums and art galleries as well as historic houses, e.g. The Rothschild house and gardens and the Greek Villa only a short bus ride away. The old town offers quaint streets, cafes, bars and restaurants and the world famous Cour Saleya flower and antiques market where you can watch the world go by from the many cafes and restaurants. There is something going on year round from the Nice Carnival in February to the Winter/Christmas village. Live music, clubs and casinos make for great nightlife
How to get there
There are regular flights to Nice Airport available from all major and low cost airlines including Globespan, Easyjet, Jet 2, Ryanair and bmi. All major hire car companies are represented at the airport and Budget and Locauto are located only minutes from the apartment. Eurostar can take you to Nice main station (car transporters available), and Riquier station is only 5 minutes walk from the property The number 98 bus runs from the airport to the port every 20 minutes during high season.

The newly fitted American style kitchen is open plan to the comfortable lounge and provides a comfortable dining area. The lounge has a large sofa bed and additional seating as well as a TV, DVD player and CD/radio. The modern double bedroom has a relaxing feel and has ample storage. The good sized shower-room has been completely refitted and also has a washing machine.
Further details outdoors: The area provides a wide selection of shops selling local produce including fresh fruit, vegetables, meat and fish as well as "Bio" products. There are several cafes and restaurants close at hand. Only 2 blocks away is the port and marina where you can find the ferries to Corsica as well as many luxury yachts. Riquier train station is only 5 minutes walk away and buses and trams are also close by. There is easy access to the main roads to Monaco.
