Our large, tastefully-furnished apartment is situated right in the heart of Nice, within comfortable walking distance of the magnificent Place Massena (50 metres).
Nice’s world famous Promenade, overlooking the breathtaking Baie des Anges, is 400 metres away, while the old town with its flower market, churches and impressive array of restaurants and bars can be reached within a few minutes.
Comprehensively refurbished during the early summer of 2008, our apartment features original parquet flooring in the sejour, two bedrooms, a bespoke American-style kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine, and a modern designer bathroom with huge walk-in shower. The south-facing terrace benefits from day-long sunshine.
Galleries Lafayette is less than 50 metres away, while Nice’s main shopping avenue, Jean Medecin, where retail enthusiasts can explore shops such as Zara and Sephora, as well as the Nice Etoile shopping mall, is less than a minute’s walk.
The apartment’s incredibly convenient location makes it ideal for those looking for a relatively short break or others wishing to use it as their base for a longer stay on the Cote d’Azur.

Nice, France's fifth-largest city, has been described as a Mediterranean jewel and as 'the chief pleasure city of the Riviera.'
There are few greater pleasures than simply wandering around Nice on foot and happening upon something new. The vielle ville (old town), for example, a couple of minutes’ walk from our apartment on Rue de l'Hotel des Postes, remains full of quirky little shops and narrow streets that unexpectedly give way to magnificent squares.
The breathtaking beauty of the Baie des Anges and the Promenade des Anglais takes perhaps three minutes to reach because there's no need to rush...
Our apartment is conveniently situated which means there is no need for guests to hire a car or make frequent use of a taxi because the city's greatest attractions are all within a comfortable walking distance. There are just too many restaurants to list, while dozens of brasseries and bars pepper Nice's attractive thoroughfares.
Further afield, train trips to Italy, Monte Carlo and Cannes cost a few euros; Nice’s main station is two stops away on the tram, which costs one euro to reach.

What makes Nice so appealing is its accessibility. There’s absolutely no need to hire a car because walking around the city is a joy.
If you're visiting for a long weekend, then lunch or dinner at one of the hundreds of restaurants in the old town is a must. Cours Saleya, home of the famous flower and fish market during the day, transforms itself into Nice's 'restaurant central' when the sun goes down.
Theoretically, it's possible to eat at a different restaurant or brasserie every night and in many of the latter, you will find an array of live music to suit every taste.
The port, a little further from our apartment, is awash with sensibly-priced restaurants and bars, while those wishing to celebrate a special occasion may prefer one of the restaurants in the world-famous Negresco Hotel.
As our apartment is so conveniently located, it’s ideal for those wanting a relatively short break or for others wishing to use it as their base for a longer stay in the Cote d’Azur.
How to get there
Flights to Nice are available all year round from a range of European airports with airlines such as Easyjet, FlyBe and Ryanair. Check Nice Cote d'Azur website for full details. The apartment is then a short bus or taxi ride away. The number 98 bus costs 4 euros and stops a few minutes from the apartment. A taxi should cost no more than 25 euros. Car hire is also available at the airport. There are fast TGV train routes from a number of European cities, including Paris.

Further details indoors: Detailed work to upgrade the spacious fourth floor apartment (yes, there’s a lift) was concluded in summer 2008. We have created a luxurious two bedroom apartment ideal for four people. The enormous sejour (lounge) is the apartment's focal point, with two comfortable settees (one of which opens into a sofa bed), Sony Bravia TV, DVD player, CD/radio, internet access and a range of CDs and books.
The American-style kitchen boasts an array of units which provide ample storage space; there is a modern oven and ceramic hob with extractor fan, dishwasher, washing machine and a host of extras.
The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed, double wardrobe and oodles of cupboard space, as well as its own balcony which overlooks a quiet courtyard. The second bedroom, with solid wood flooring and also located to the rear of the apartment, has two single beds. The modern bathroom boasts a magnificent shower, a joy to return to after a hard day at the beach.
Further details outdoors: To the front of the property is a sizeable terrace with large a dining table and four chairs, making it ideal for taking meals at any time of the day. The master bedroom also has a smaller balcony overlooking the quiet courtyard to the rear.

A security bond of 700 euros is required. This is taken as a credit card 'swipe' by our Nice-based agents when collecting the apartment's keys. However, your account would only be debited in the event of any damage.
