The Casino supermarket, launderette and bakery are all on Blvd. Gambetta, three minutes' walk away. Also try “Huit à Huit” (open from 8-8) on Rue Verdi. Trains: Nice's main station, the Gare Nice Ville is just a five-minute walk away. Trains to Monaco, Cannes, St. Tropez, Italy run every 30 minutes or so. Beach: Depending on your pace, it will take 8 to 10 minutes to walk to the Promenade des Anglais and the beach. Walk one block to Rue Berlioz and then turn right on it, following it all the way and come out on the Promenade between the famous Hotel Negresco and the charming Musee Massena. To reach the pedestrian zone (Zone Pietones) with its multitude of restaurants walk east (right) from the flat to the end of Rue Rossini, cross Bvd. Victor Hugo and carry straight on. It's about an eight minute walk. This also brings you to the edge of Old Nice which has enchanting, winding streets, its shops selling art, crafts and boutique fashions and also the great antiques and flower markets.

- Fly to Nice - The flat is only 4 kilometres away in the heart of Nice's chic Musicians' Quarter - Take a bus to the Gare Ville Nice ( the main train station). Should cost less than 4 Euros. The flat is a 5 minute walk from there - Taxis are available. Should cost around 20 euros but do make sure that the driver turns the meter on when you leave the airport - You don't need a car unless you plan to drive out of Nice to other towns.
