Nice its vibrant capital, reflects this fascinating past with its wonderful and variegated turn-of-the- century architecture, Belle Epoque buildings and tree-lined avenues and boulevards with public gardens ablaze with tropical flowers, plants & trees.
The French Riviera offers a multitude of sights to see and things to do: concerts, opera, museums & art galleries, world-renowed casinos, open-air films and concerts. Its world famous art galleries house collections which include Matisse,Chagall and Picasso.
The coastal and surrounding hill/mountain scenery with its myriad hilltop villages is stunning, set against the backdrop of the majestic Alps.

Nice, the lively capital of the Cote d'Azur ,offers not only 4 km of beaches and one of the loveliest promenades in the world, but an array of inviting cafes and restaurants and nightlife, visit the traffic-free zone in the centre lined with bistros cafes and latenight shops, as well as the Old City's winding streets with its picturesque bistros and boutiques.
EVENTS 2010 (within an easy drive of the apartment)
13th February - 1st March: Nice Carnival. For two weeks the Carnival attracts visitors from around the world to the Riviera for parades, fireworks, theatre performances, live music, and DJ shows.
People converge on Nice for the Carnival to watch the flower parade and dance in the streets. Visitors can also enjoy watching the parade floats with their wacky large-headed papier mache characters.
Most of the Carnival festivities take place on the Promenade des Anglais, which runs along the waterfront.
Jump on a bus (just 1€uro each way/per person) and go and party!
1st & 2nd May 2010: Monaco Grand Prix The Monaco Grand Prix (French: Grand Prix de Monaco) is held each year on the Circuit de Monaco.
Considered to be one of the most important and prestigious automobile races in the world alongside the Indianapolis 500 and the 24 Hours of Le Mans (with which it forms the Triple Crown of Motorsport).
The history, spectacle and glamour result in the race being considered "the jewel of the Formula One crown".
The best way to reach the Grand Prix is by rail, straight from Nice into Monaco.
12th - 23rd May: The Festival de Cannes This is the world's oldest, most influential and prestigious film festival. A great place to spot your favourite movie stats!

This apartment is ground floor, so people with mobility problems will be able to manage. But it does not allow for wheelchair access, unfortunately.

This has a terrace with table and chairs, and a gas BBQ, (perfect for those who like to eat al fresco, or for that romantic evening watching the sun go down over the sea).

This is a family home, which is vacated each year for the holiday season. It has been well-looked after, and lovingly maintained by the Scottish owner and her daughter.

We had a wonderful holiday, very relaxing in a lovely residential area enjoying the privacy of our own private patio and garden. The apartment is very comfortable & well equipped with wonderful views over the bay of Nice.
The pool is lovely, much larger than the picture on the website shows, and never overcrowded or noisy.
The apartment is well situated to explore the surrounding area, Cannes, Antibes and Monte Carlo which are all within half an hour's drive. Doug & Liz - Scotland *** The apartment is extremely comfortable, light, immaculately clean & well laid out. A superbly equipped kitchen.
Breakfast on the patio was a delight as the view across the bay is absolutely stunning (day & night), the photo doesn't do it justice. Although we had a few meals in, there is a huge choice of restaurants in Nice & the surrounding areas.
The lady who helps the owner was very helpful & wasn't at all put out by our 21h arrival & 8h departure. We're coming back next year! ! DP, Staffs, UK *** We would like to say that we were very very satisfied with our 3 week stay at the apartment.
Parc Ophelia was even better than the description on internet, and the service was excellent.
We arrived very late in the evening, and departed at 0400, and our check-out person was smiling and awake. Pro!!
