Home description

The studio is newly decorated with light beech furniture throughout. It has a west-facing balcony, fully equipped kitchenette, modern tiled bathroom, with bath and shower, hallway and living area with large comfortable sofa bed and dining table. The kitchenette is fully equipped with 2 ring cooker (see below).
There is plenty of storage space for a week's holiday. TV, DVD Player and radio and CD player. Towels and linen are provided (please bring towels for the beech). Flexible arrival and departure dates. Short stays (ie 4 days) available out of high season.

The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Alpes-Maritimes region

Nice is situated in the South of France. Nice is the cultural capital of the Cote d'Azur. Nice has a mediterranean climate with fabulous weather all year round. Other locations, ie Cannes, Monaco, Antibes can be visited by train, only a short ride, about 20 minutes to half an hour away. You can take a bus to Villefranche (very picturesque with a sandy beach).and St Paul de Vence in Provenance (hilltop fortified village). Nice is also very near to Italy, where you can visit the market at Ventimiglia on a Friday (Vintimille in French). You can also visit stunning hill top villages like Peillon. You can even take a trip to Corsica. In winter, you can go skiing, Isola is an hours bus journey away

Nice area

There are festivals in Nice throughout the year eg February: the Carnival, May: Cannes Film Festival and Monaco Grand Priz, July: Jazz Festial in Cimiez, September and October: Fairs and Fetes

Nice is a great place for cycling, running and roller blading along the sea front. There are many restaurants and bars, and museums and art galleries to visit. It has something for everyone.

Nice used to be Italian so you can wander around to see Italian style palaces, ornate villas and the onion domes of St Nicolas Cathedral. There are parks and many cool garden squares to relax in also. It has great shopping on the Jean de Medicin, and you will have fun wandering rounds the narrow streets of the Old Town where you can have a bit of lunch and browse in the small boutiques.

How to get there

There are flights to Nice from many UK airports, many airlines ie Easyjet, British Midland, BA. Nice is a short bus rid away from the Airport, about 10 minutes at a cost of 4 euros. Alternativately you can take a taxi for about 25/30 euros.
