About the home

Recently built (June 2008) the apartment is set in a luxurious development with breathtaking views of Nice with a swimming pool and private garage. It consists of one double bedroom and a king size sofa bed in the lounge. It is only a few mins drive from the beach or alternatively a 30 min walk or a short bus journey. There is a bus stop beside the development with buses going on an hourly basis to the centre. The setting of the apartment is in a nice quiet area. Perfect for a relaxing break beside the pool or for exploring the Cote d'azur region.

The Nice area

Wander at random through the narrow streets of the old town and then stroll along the famous "Promenade" before entering into the heart of the city with its rich architectural and cultural heritage and its numerous parks and gardens.

Places to visit:
Nice old town (vieux nice): The markets in the old part of the town are a must see. They sell flowers, fruit and antiques. The same area in the evening is rich in people wining dining and watching the world go by! There are many bars and restaurants in the area along with live music to make a very pleasant night out.

You can climb to the Parc du Chateau (or take the small tourist ''petit train'') where the views of nice and the promenade are amazing. Up here is a park with a cafe serving refreshments.

The beach front is packed with restaurants bars and cafes. Sun beds are for hire and watersports are available. The promenade along the beach is alive with rollerskater, joggers and people walking and a great place to people watch!

It is also worth paying a visit to neighbouring towns Monaco ( which host its famous Grand Prix in May) and Cannes (which hosts the film festival in May) are only 20-30 mins away by car or alternatively can be accessed by bus which is €1 per trip or via train. Other places worth visiting are Antibes, Juan les Pins, St Tropez and Grasse (which is famous for its perfume factory) and Eze.

“A fabulous place to stay for a short break” We heard about this apartment from a friend and decided to give it a try for a 'lads' weekend away' (well, four guys in or approaching middle age, to be accurate!). It's a couple of miles out of town but very easy to get to via two bus routes. If you're energetic, it can be be walked to but it's well uphill. The apartment is beautifully located with stunning views. It's clean, quiet, fairly private, well appointed, sleeps four comfortably, has a barbecue if you fancy a night in and the swimming pool is close by. You have a wee bit to travel to get your basic amenities, but that's great for clearing the head early in the morning. The rates are very competitive and the man that owns the place is very easy to deal with. All in all, a great place to chill out if you're not one for sightseeing or equally to use as a comfortable base for seeing Nice and the neighbourhood.
