Home description
Our spacious, attractive one bedroom apartment (68 sq metres) is on the second floor of a well maintained building built in the '60's and can accommodate 2 to 4 people. The apartment is situated in the Musician's Quarter, a quiet residential area in the heart of the city, within a few minutes of the Promenade des Anglais, the beaches, the famous Negresco Hotel and just a gentle stroll to the Old Town. Close by are the delightful Jardins Alsace Lorraine. It is very close to all amenities with shops, small supermarkets , restaurants, bars and La Buffa covered market selling top quality fresh produce and a wide range of local specialities, all within walking distance. There are numerous city bus routes close by including one which serves the airport. A car is not necessary. The apartment is light and airy with all rooms off a tiled entrance hall. There are parquet floors in the living/dining area and the bedroom. The sejour is tastefully furnished including 2 sofas one of which is a sofa bed. The dining area can seat at least 4/6 people. This room faces south with french windows opening onto a large terrace with table and 4 chairs. There is also a sun awning. The terrace overlooks a quiet private road with residents parking only The fully equipped kitchen and the large bedroom face north. The bedroom has 2 single beds. With french windows in all the main rooms it allows for cooling breezes in the summer. The bathroom has a bath with shower attachment and there is a separate toilet. The apartment is well decorated throughout.

Nice / Central Nice area
Nice is a warm, vibrant and fascinating city and has much to offer the visitor with its beaches, restaurants, art galleries, museums and the night life. There is plenty to keep one occupied. Near the port and hilltop chateau is the Old Town, with its maze of narrow streets, many squares, little restaurants and fascinating shops. There is also the colourful weekday flower and vegetable market in the Cours Saleya. Within easy reach of Nice are many other rersorts such as Antibes, Cannes, Menton and Monte Carlo whilst a trip into Italy to the border town of Ventimiglia is well worth a visit on a Friday for its extensive street market. Trips inland could include St Paul de Vence, Grasse and the numerous enchanting hill top villages. The single track rail journey into the mountains from the Gare de Provence is one not to miss
