Home description

Built in 1988, Villa Hill benefits from both traditional Provencial charm as well as being fully modernised internally by the present owners just three years ago when they took possession.

The interior is modern, comfortable and has a homely feeling to it. Patio style door open up on the the pool area and give an airy space for entertaining. The downstairs is open plan.

The property stands in its own lush grounds which produce fresh produce not to mention the many species of picturesque flowers and plants to be enjoyed - for those who are partial to olives they can be picked in abundance from the forty some olive trees to be found throughout the grounds.

The Villa is self catering we do supple some basic must haves. Beach towels are not included. Please do bring your own.

Also outside is a beautiful newly built African style veranda which overlooks a ten metre private swimming pool (unheated) – complete with pool house and matching all weather garden furniture. Those with young children will be happy to know the pool area has been fully secured with a double locking gated glass and aluminium screen.

A large trampoline is at the front of the house where kids as well as adults will have hours of fun bouncing up and down, which is also great for keeping fit .For those who dont like to bounce playing on the swings and slide might be an alternative.

Finally the Villa and grounds are fully managed by a very friendly English speaking local couple who live only three minutes away in the quaint rural village of Colomars. Our management team will meet you on your arrival date, show you around the Villa and will be available to help you with place to go and see.

The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Alpes-Maritimes region

Logistically, the property couldn’t be better situated – just twenty minutes from the ultra efficient Nice Cote D’azur airport, whilst in the opposite direction about 15 minutes from the centre of the cosmopolitan city of Nice.

A ten minute drive will also lead you to the A8 autoroute which to the West offers relatively short drives to Cannes (30 mins) and beautiful St Tropez (1hr 15mins), whilst to the East you can explore wonderful places which include Villfranche, Beaulieu , Eze and Monte Carlo.

The equally picturesque Italian Riviera is also less than fifty minutes drive away – and a day out to San Remo is highly recommended.

It is also worth noting for the super active that the mountains of the Southern Alps are also just an hour’s drive North where one can enjoy mountain biking and walking activities during the summer as well as excellent local skiing in winter.


Nice area

The village of Colomars is a 5 minute walk from the Villa where you can buy local bread, cakes and croissants. A good quality butcher and a small village shop for all your everyday items is close by. If you fancy a beer or bottle of wine the local bar is also close enough to walk to and the views are beautiful from the restaurant. The village has 2 restaurants.

If you fancy a game of tennis a private lesson the local tennis club is 5 min drive away. Horse riding is also near by.

Nice is only 20 mins drive away where you can enjoy great dining on the beach or discover the lovely shopping areas. If Cannes is where you want to shop and experience the warm friendly atmosphere and of course the shopping then you are only 45 min drive away. But if it the glamour of Monaco that apeals to you well you have to go and soak up the amazing feeling of just being there Whatever your wishes are, there is much to do here for the whole famaily.

Inside the property the ground floor offers a spacious salon des jour, snug, dining area, fully equipped kitchen and utility area. Satalite Sky TV with basic channels in the main lounge. Also to be found on this level are a double bedroom, shower room and WC. The first floor comprises of three double bedrooms, family bathroom and child’s bedroom, the master bedroom also benefits from a two person balcony overlooking the pool and south facing element of the gardens. The third double bedroom also boasts and en suite playroom which is entered through a child size cubby hole door – this feature has always proved both enchanting and exciting for small children!

The lower ground floor is an interesting melange of two car garage, wine cave and additional utility/laundry room which is closed most of the time as it is used for storage and staff managers to use for cleaning, here is a washing machine in the basement please ask staff if you need to use it.

There is a dining table outside that comfortably seat 8 people, which is under a veranda .


Further details

A deposit of 25% will be required to secure your holiday and the full balance due 8 weeks before your arrival. A damage bond of £400.00 is required 1 month before you arrive. Once Villa has been thoughly checked you will receive you bond back (minus any damage, extra costs like cleaning, gas, washing etc or items missing) within 1 week.

Our price does include a full clean after leaving the Villa, however if the Villa is left in an unreasonable mess for our cleaners we will have to deduct the extra time it will take our cleaners to put the Villa in order for our next clients. This will be £20.00 per extra hour it has taken the cleaning team.

We have a BBQ at the property and will be your responsibiltiy to keep the BBQ clean. Gas for the BBQ is available to buy from the Management team at an extra cost of 25.00 euros.

Please note you are booking a self catering holiday, we will provide a started kit upon your arrival (toilet paper, coffee. tea, milk, sugar etc). If you are arriving on a Sunday please advise us if you would like our Management team to do a small shop for you, as super markets are closed in France on Sundays.

If you require the Villa to be cleaned during your stay the cost is 20 euros an hour for someone to come out for you. Please check this with the Villa Manager on arrival.

We would like quests to vacate the Villa by 11am for cleaning and linen to be done for next quests arriving if you do have late flights back we will be happy to accommodate you the best we can, please do advise us on this.

Check in is 2pm again if you flight does come in early we will be happy to try to accommodate you, please check will us.

The Villa is strickly NON SMOKING if you do smoke in the Villa you will pay £200.00 of your damage deposit as we will have to have the Villa professionaly cleaned by specialists. We don't want NON SMOKING clients to have to put up with smoke smells. Plus our management team have to deal with unhappy client.

These conditions do sound scary, but some of the above very rarely happens

We also offer a special Grand Prix weekend in May which included 3 nights accommodation, 2 days on a boat in the Port of Monaco and a chauffer to take your party to and from Monaco. Please get in touch for more details, but be quick.


Conditions

We welcome quests on Saturdays from 2pm onwards, if you have plans to arrive earlier we will be happy to try and accommodate your party. Check out time is 11am again please check with us if your flight s are in th afternoon and we will try and accommodate you.

A damage deposit of £400.0 0 is required and will be returned to you with in 1 monthof vacating the property, minus odvious damage.

We offer a comfortable home which is managed to a high degree so you can relax, enjoy and have a great time whilst your here.

Please note that this is a non smoking Villa (outside only) if you do smoke inside we will charge you a professional cleaning fee of £200.00. We do tell clients that the Villa is a non smoking holiday home please respect that.

Villa Hill was lovely . The moment we saw the villa we know that it was going to be a great holiday, we were welcomed by a lovely lady who had the champagne ready. We had a lovely time the house was clean, the swimming pool was a big plus. We really did feel at home. Shame we couldnt stay longer.

We had a holiday that was amazing so loved the warm welcome . We stayed for 2 weeks had babysitters arranged so we could have a night . The house was so clean, modern and so good for the kids, loved the view from the swimming pool and the place was so quiet , just what we need from a holiday.
