This Nice holiday apartment was attractively refurbished a few years ago and is comfortable and stylish. It is on the top floor and has the advantage of a beautiful roof terrace overlooking the town. The terrace is equipped with table and chairs to enjoy 'al fresco' meals. There are sun-loungers for relaxing in the sunshine. As per summer 2009 you will be able to enjoy air-condition in all 3 rooms on hot days and nights!!
The kitchen is compact but is well equipped with dishwasher, microwave, oven and fridge. There is also a washing machine in the apartment. The living room is attractively furnished with a settee, armchair dining table and chairs, TV radio, cd player.
The Nice apartment rental is equal distant from the main railway station and the sea. The holiday apartment is in the district called “Musiciens”, between “rue Verdi” and “Rue Rossini”. From here it takes only 10 minutes walk to the pebble beach in front of the Hotel Negresco on the Promenade des Anglais and to the railway station on Avenue Thiers. Around the corner and close to the apartment there is a good selection of shops, supermarkets, wonderful bakeries and two indoor markets. There is even a grocery store in the building. Nearby there is also the pretty park of Alsace-Lorraine.
There are two good restaurants which are both less than 5 minutes walk: “Occitanie” where the the set meals are under 20 euros and for those who enjoy exotic food, the “Barachois” offering specialties from the island La Reunion.
For movie lovers we recommend the Rialto cinema, under 10 minutes walk from the apartment, where you can watch films in English.

There are 2 bedrooms available, ideally for 3 people, but upon request also for 4 people. Each bedroom has a 1.40m large bed and opens to an East balcony with views over the roofs and hills. Pls note that in the winter months, from mid December up to and during May, the apartment will be rented as a one bedroom only for 2 people. Possibility of a mattress in the lounge for a third person.
The living/dining room opens up to the beautiful terrace with many plants and flowers, views over the roofs and hills of Nice. There is a dining table with 4 chairs and a settee inside, and another dining area on the terrace as well as a reading corner with small table and lounge chairs.
From the master bedroom one enters the very spacious shower room with french door and washing machine.
The kitchenette is compact and has everything one needs, cooker, oven, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee and espresso machines. The toilet is accessible from the hallway.

As the apartment is close to the railway station, there are many excursions available to explore the exciting areas around Nice and along the coast: Villefranche, Beaulieu, Eze, Monaco and Menton to the East and Antibes, Cannes, St. Raphael/Frejus etc to the West.
Buses run from nearby into the old town, to the airport, to St. Paul de Vence, Grasse, and to the destinations mentioned above. Most of them run along the Promenade des Anglais and can be caught there without having to go down to the bus terminal.
At the moment all buses in the Nice area and surroundings cost 1 Euro which allows a follow on journey with another bus for no extra charge.

RENTALS ARE ONLY FROM SATURDAY TO SATURDAY! Price per week: In May, June, July, August and September 700 Euros for 2 people. Each addtl. child or adult person 50 Euros. Electricity : 100 kw free. Additional cost will be deducted from your security deposit.

Smoking only on the terrace and balcony. No Pets!
Being on the top floor the apartment is not suitable for children under 8. Regrettably, not suitable for disabled people.

Nice has a lot to offer, not only the sunshine most of the year, but an interesting folklore, a lifely city with great cultural life, music and sport events and big choice of good restaurants, including many offering typical dishes such as socca, pissaladiere, beignets de sardines, salades nicoise etc It also is the perfect hub from where to explore the coast famous for its blue waters and the hindcountry with its gorgeous medieval villages.
One does not necessarily need a car to visit the area. There is a great choice of trains and busses covering the entire coast and some of the back country.
The Nice / Musicians' Quarter area
Russian Church, Musee Massena very close. Musee Chagall, Musee Matisse, Musee des Beaux Arts, Modern Art not far, by tram or bus.

This is a lovely, clean and well equipped apartment. There is a balcony off the master bedroom and a well funished terrace off the lounge. It is in a great location - only 5 to 10 minutes walk to Trip Advisor's No 1 restaurant in Nice (Le Vignt4), take a right out of the apartment and first right again onto Rue Rossini walk as far as you can and the restaurant is across the road to your left. There is a small supermarket at the entrance to the apartment and a larger one just around the corner, there is also a patisserie close by for fresh bread and cakes. Claire and Christophe who manage the apartment for Annemarie were extremely helpful and efficient. We used their transport to get from the airport (Euro 33) and Christophe was there to collect us and take us directly to the apartment. The No 99 bus from the airport will also take you near the apartment (stop before the Railway Station) for Euro 4 but this does not run after 9pm. When we were leaving Claire was at the apartment on time to ensure there were no delays. If you are booking this apartment for 4 people bear in mind that the bathroom is accessed from the master bedroom although the toilet is accessed from the hallway. The shower has really good water pressure and is much larger than you would normally find in France. The only downside is the lift which although quite charming is very temperamental and was broken for 2 of the days we were there. If you don't think you can manage to climb 6 flights of stairs then this should be considered. That said we were warned about it before we went and although climbing the stairs was a struggle it was worth it for this lovely apartment and we would go back and risk it again but hopefully not with luggage!! |

We choose this apartment because of its patio, and we were not dissapointed. We were able to use for most of our meals - it was nice having some shade up there, and the plants make it a lovely area. The rooms were spacious, and had everything we needed. The location was great - We found it easy to walk to the old town and main shops in half an hour or so, and also easy to pick up food at the local supermarket and delicious fresh bread and croissants in the mornings nearby. Many thanks to Claire and Christophe for making us welcome, and turning up so punctually on our last day. |

We had a great time time in Nice, it was lovely apartment in a good location, peaceful and good to relax in, much better than having an apartment within a block of holiday apartments. We liked the character the apartment had with all your pictures from around the world. Your helpers Claire and Christophe were very helpful and we used the transfer service they can provide, so Christophe picked us up from the airport and took us to the apartment, showing us where everything was and giving suggestions of places we might like to see etc. We took the train and spent a day at marineland sea life centre, quite spectacular to see the dolphins and whales. A very good holiday for our family and we will certainly be looking to return to Nice and hopefully stay in your apartment again in the future. |
