There is no better place to be than on The Promenade. Wake up every morning and see the sea and sky of the Mediterranean. This attractively furnished apartment has a large twin living room with double glazed doors facing the sea. Beyond, is the dining area and bar leading to the exceptionally well laid out kitchen. The bedrooms, with generous closet space, are at the side and back for quiet sleeping. There is internet access at 2 desks, both with swivel office chairs. Our Nice apartment isn't a sterile speculation flat or a faux Versailles. It is our home and we hope the personal detailing will reflect that.

We have found Nice to be the ideal base for exploring all of the South of France. SNCF trains connect Nice with Menton, Monaco, and Cannes in minutes. Busses take you to medieval hill towns like Eze, St.Paul, and Vance—they stop almost in front of the apartment. Exploring Nice itself is like traveling through the centuries, beginning with Greco-Roman sites on the hilltop, Cimiez. Enjoy the spectacular view from the public gardens. Below, one can wander through the winding streets of Old Nice, always finding something new. Don’t miss the gems of 18th century churches nestled in the corners. The open air flower and fruit market is world famous and becomes a huge flea market every Monday.
Nice / 500 meters from the beach area
There are dozens of wonderful brasseries in the immediate area and for home cooking, the several large groceries one block away. In addition to the obvious joys of the beach, beach cafes, Promenade strolls, open air markets, and chic night life, the Nice area offers many cultural activities. The world famous Matisse, Picasso, Chagall, and Leger museums are all here. The Tourist office (website www.nicetourism.com) will ply you with information about smaller regional museums as well as classical music and jazz performances, such as the Nice Jazz Festival July 18-25, one of the three major jazz events in Europe. For a more quiet time the Tourist Office has a guide called "Rambles" which describes opportunities for hiking in three versions, from easy walks to advanced climbing. The Port area has opportunities for diving and day tripping on the water.
How to get there
The apartment is 10 minutes from the Nice airport. Bus 99 and 98 will take you to our door. Ask driver to stop at CUM GROSSO. The train station is also 10 minutes away. Bus 12. Also, Get off at CUM GROSSO. The Tourist Office, again 10 minutes away--this time by strolling along the beautiful Promenade, will give you bus and train schedules for surrounding area.

Refundable breakages deposit required on arrival, to be returned on the day of departure, all well.
