2 bedroom-flat of of 1050 Sqft in the heart of Nice's musician quarters.The flat is on the 6th and last floor of a period building with a lift. All rooms open to a balcony through french doors and face South. High ceiling, airy, sun all day, terrace.
The flat has a very large living room with wood floor and 3 large floor to ceiling French windows, period furniture. Being at the 6th and last floor, you have a very good view from the terrace and balcony and no neighbour overlooking your out side space.

1 master bedroom with built in cupboards, one further bedroom with twin beds.
1 bathroom with bath.
Kitchen with all appliances, dish washer and a dining table.
The flat has lots of storage space, washing mashine. Cot and high chair for babies available.
It is above a small garden with trees and is very quiet.
Yet, you are at 5-10 min walk from the beach, 5 min from the train station, have shops in your street, and 10-15 min drive from the airport.
Garage in a secured private parking available for 50 pounds per week.

The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Alpes-Maritimes region

Beautiful touristic region, that has the benefit of being on the Mediterranean sea and close to the Alpes, allowing you to hike, ski or cycle when you want a break from the beach.
Can is only 30 min drive away and St Tropez 1 hour away.
There is always something special going on in Nice:

GOLF: this is a great place for golf: there are amazing golf courses 30 to 40 min drive away which are all accessible without being a member. Unlike the UK where the best clubs require membership, you can play here anywhere you want as long as you have the requested handicap. Try Mandelieu (the old course is both magnificent and easy with pine trees all around, the new one is more difficult), Monaco -more difficult and sporty- and many others. If the weather is good, you might be playing in a Tshirt even over Christmas, although it can be frosty early morning if you go around Grasse.
A great choices of beautiful courses with a Mediterranean feel.

CARNIVAL: in February, for 2 weeks. Book your tickets in advance. There is also a flower battle in Cannes.

MONACO GRAND PRIX: in June. Again, book your tickets in advance, you will get some.

JAZZ FESTIVAL: in July. Very high quality, very easy going. You can buy your pan-bagna (the local sandwiches) on site and hang around from stage to stage.

FIREWORK: do not forget the 14th of July firework, usually best seen from the sea coast.

SKIING or HIKING: the alps are one hour drive away, and you can go skiing for the day in the winter to Auron, Isola2000 or to some smaller and even closer resorts. In the summer, many great walks can be done in the preserved heritage. Wild life can be seen, lakes, and beautiful landscapes. But remember, it is the Alpes: it goes up, and up and up.....to the top.: you need to leave a little early to avoid too much sun while you are climbing in the summer and to avoid the night in the winter.

CYCLING: road cycling is a great tradition in the region. You will see many road cyclers on weekends going in groups. You can try it out, but start slowly, the slopes can be long!

THE BEACH: finally, the beach is the most common activity. You can find pebbles in Nice, but if you prefer sand, go to Antibes. Rocks can be found in Cap Ferrat, in a beautiful environment. You will need a good towel to sit comfortably, but it is worth the trip.

Quiet residential area with bakeries and food shopping facilities at your door step. 10 min walk from the busy shopping centres of the city, the old city nand Place Massena.
5 min walk from the beach and the Negresco Hotel, 5 min walk from the train station.

How to get there

Cheap flights available with Easyjet to Nice from Stansted, Gatwick, Luton, Liverpool, Bristol, Belfast and Newcastle and BMI offering good value out of Heathrow.
Once you land at Nice airport, take bus 99 (train station) or 98 (Place Massena)(€4) - the apartment is less than 10 minutes walk from either stops.
If you arrive by train, it is a 5 min walk from the train station to the flat.
