The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Alpes-Maritimes region

The Cote D' Azur is renowned for sunshine, glamour, elegance and style, there's so much to do in the area with numerous places to visit by using the cheap transport available ( 1 euro to Monaco on bus). There are a lot of events during the year such as the Nice carnival in Feb, the Cannes film festival and the Monaco grand prix in May, and the Nice jazz festival in July, so there is always something to keep you occupied. There are also some excellent walks around Cap Ferrat pennisula and Cap D' Ail into Monaco where you can admire the villas of the rich and famous. There are excellent beaches to visit at Cannes, Villfranche, Beaulieu-Sur-Mer and Cap D'Ail.
After a day's excursion why not relax in one of the many bars and restaurants available, enjoying fine food and wine while you people watch and maybe spot the odd celebrity such as a member of U2 as we saw on one of our breaks.
The Nice / Carre d'Or area
Carre d'Or is probably the most exclusive area in Nice with so many beautiful buildings. A short walk will bring you to Rue De France for shops bars and restaurants,if you like the larger shops you'd be spoilt for choice along Avenue Jean Medecin.
For the more energetic, walking, cycling, roller blading, bowling and water sports.

We made a last minute booking to stay at Villa Belle Epoque and were not disappointed in any way. When making our initial enquiries, Martin and Sue were very proffesional, friendly and efficient right from the very off - emailing details exactly when they said they would, calling to ensure we'd recieved information etc and to see if there was anything else they could do. Making the booking was equally easy and Martin sent us a full personalised guide on everything we'd need to know for our stay and attractions in the surrounding area. On arriving, we found a loveley apartment which is every bit as good as the pictures suggest in a wonderful location and building. The seafront is literally 3mins walk away, with all the amenities one could hope for all within a couple of blocks walk. The apartment itself is clean, spacious for a studio and modern with an excellent kitchen, bathroom and generally well appointed. All mod cons, and no concerns or issues in the slightest. Would happily return and recommend to anyone. |
Guestbook for Villa Belle Epoque
Belle Epoque is a fitting name as it describes the wonderful character of the building as well in which all its inhabitants would label their holiday. Absolutely fabulous. Merci - Luke and Danielle
Loved your apartment very much, right in the centre of Nice, 5 minutes walk to the beach. Explored as much as we could in our time. Nice is perfect, once you get here you will never forget it and my desire to be back is very strong." Merci beaucoup" L ilia - Antoine
