Our French Riviera self catering apartment rental is ideal for adult couples. It is the perfect location in the heart of Nice, in one of the historic Place Massena buildings. The vacation rental apartment is popular all year round for sunshine holidays or as a city break destination.

The holiday apartment overlooks many restaurants and overlooks the square of Place Massena with the Old Town of Nice just minutes from our apartment to let in central Nice. Located where the Old Town meets the New renovated historic fountain square of Place Massena, this apartment is positioned in THE heart of Nice, just 60 yards from the beach, 'old town' and Ave Jean Medicin- the shopping heartland of Nice. This area is very well served with public transport ie, train, tram stops, port and airport bus close.

The building is a 17th century Italianate building of classic arch way design, making your holiday feel a bit more special, and in the holiday apartment, you will feel entirely at home. The furnishings are stylish; the apartment is soft and tranquil; you can sit and relax on any of the six terraces or large 140 sq feet solarium on the roof for the whole day if you wish and watch the world go by, or dine out under the large moon and stars with the lights of the Negresco decorating the Promenade des Anglais.

Our Nice holiday rental apartment is a short walk to Old Nice. There is much to do and see in the narrow streets of Old Nice which is like walking through a classical old Italian town. There are a great number of bars and restaurants in this area.

Our Nice holiday rental apartment is very close to the Old Chateau which is a huge rocky outcrop overlooking the whole of Nice. The Old Chateau is adjacent to the Nice Flower Market. The Nice / Vieux Nice area

Our holiday rental apartment in Nice is not only close to the beach but also located in an area of the Mediterranean soaked in history and for centuries was part of the kingdom of Savoy up to 1860 and therefore has its own Nicois dialect, cuisine and traditions. Nice is ideal for exploring the whole Cote D'Azur region of the Mediterranean including, Monaco, Italy and even Spain.
Our holiday apartment located in the very exclusive area of the Carre d'Or is positioned in the most expensive area of central Nice, surrounded by designer shops, restaurants, the beach and places you close to all the local tourist activities and local Nice attractions as detailed below.
BUS: Our Nice apartment for rent is close to all forms of public transport where each main town on the French Riviera has its own local bus network, for Nice its "Lignes d'Azure". The inter-urban network, the TAM (Transport Alpes-Maritimes) connects all the Eastern Rivera towns between Cannes & Menton and all the main villages like Eze and Vence.
THE CENTRE: Our vacation accommodation in the centre of Nice is close to the big land-mark ornamental fountain known as "Fountaine du Soleil, on Place Massena, ringed by bright pastel Italian archway buildings, and up to the Avenue Jean Medicin.
The vacation apartment for rent also leads on to the Rue de France pedestrian shopping street which runs from the end of the Place Massena, roughly parallel to the seaside or Promenade des Anglais and is an area is full of shops, including some exclusive clothing boutiques, and restaurants and cafes with outdoor terraces.
THE CHATEAU is a short walk from our beautiful Nice apartment where your rental will be all the more satisfying as you are near the location of a former 1706 castle on top of this high rock hill overlooking Nice old town and the port. This is a great place to visit with cool tree shaded walks, wonderful views over Nice and the Mediterranean, a large grassy park, playground, Roman ruins and a waterfall. Access by the steps (213 steps from the bottom to to the observation platform on top of the Naval Museum, and then more steps and various walkways to the top.
CIMIEZ is reached by a 30 minute stroll or 5 minute bus ride from our Carre d'Orr vacation holiday rental apartment in Nice France where Cimiez sits on a hill a couple of km from the centre of town in a calm residential area above the bustle of the city. The grounds of "Cimiez" includes a large park amidst olive groves, the Archeology museum, Matisse museum and Franciscan Museum and Monastery.
The beaches of Nice, are within walking distancde or bus ride from our holiday rental property in Nice France where the Promenade des Anglais beach is of pebble and along the coast to Antibes, are shingle (smooth stones). From Antibes-Juan-les-Pins to Cannes, the beaches are sand. Many prefer grit-free shingle beaches which also leaves the water clear. People can be found sunning themselves on the beaches all year round. Water sports include sailing, swimming, diving, snorkelling, para-gliding, water skiing, fishing and much more.
You cannot take public transport to VIEILLE VLLE (OLD TOWN) because it is too close to our holiday lrental apartment where shops lead you to the Place Massena square into the Old Town of Nice in minutes. Here you find narrow streets curving in irregular fashion between old buildings with red-tile roofs, just as with any medieval village of the region. The streets are packed with shops, small restaurants, food, meat produce, clothes, gifts and the rest.
Walk from our holiday apartment to the COURS SALEYA which is the most famous market of Nice which is the flower and local food produce market during most of the week and a large flea market on Mondays. The market is paralell to the sea side, and is lined by lovely old buildings.
The main tourist attraction in Nice being the PROMENADE DES ANGLAIS, is a short walk from our holiday apartment on the Cote d'Azur France where the promenade streaches about 7 km around the Baie des Anges, a favourite for leisurely "promenades" since the Belle Epoque at the turn of the last century. Activities include sitting by the sea, jogging and roller skating. Summer nights shows an increase in activity.
From our holiday rental apartment on the Cote d'Azur ou will never be stuck for ideas on where to go in Nice and where our your self catering holidays are in the luxury area of the Carre d'Or placing you are close to the beach and all local activities, meaning you never need a car, and have no trouble finding somewhere to eat in Nice even on National holidays such as Bastille Day.
Annual events in Nice are listed as the February-March Carnival season over 2 weeks culminating in a grand parade and fireworks which are within a short stroll of our holidat apartment for rent where in February the Festin des Cougourdons is a traditional festival with folklore and decorated gourds, held in the Jardins de Cimiez (the grounds of the magnificent Matisse Museum, just a 7 minute bus ride from our Nice holiday apartment); April brings the semi-marathon Internation de Nice which takes place along the Promenade des Anglais seconds from our holiday home in France Cote d'Azur Nice.
Your holidays in our rental apartments bring the May festivals in Nice France known as the Fete des Mai with music, picnics and folk dancing celebrating the arrival of Spring in the gardens and Amphitheater of Cimez, held on Sundays and May holidays which is reached by bus a short distance from our holiday vacation rental apartment. You can take the train to the Cannes Film Festival just 800 yards from our apartment rental in Nice which takes 3o minutes from Nice to Cannes and which allows us to rub shoulders with the glitzy and glamourous at one of the chicest festivals on the Riviera. In May in Nice from our holiday apartment, you can take a car rental, bus or train to attend the world famous Monaco Grand Prix which is just 25 minutes on the bus from our Nice holiday apartment and which is a must for formula 1 fans.
Nice brings June's Fete de la Musique which is a thunderous event with free bands playing all over Nice in the streets, from bars and open windows which you experience within minutes from our rental apartment in the centre of the Carre d'Or area off the beach. The Nice Iron Man competition takes place yards from our holiday apartment along the Promenade des anglais involving running, cycling and swimming.
July-August in Nice brings fireworks on the Promenade des Anglais so take a picnick to the beach and enjoy this local attraction with the many others.
The Nice Jazz festival is an eight day open-air event in July in the atmospheric surroundings of the Arenes de Cimiez and our Nice holiday apartment for rent is perfectly placed for you to take a picnic and sit under a large ink-blue night sky and silver moon to listen to one or other famous musician play to you.
Les Nuits Musicales de Nice is a festival of chamber music following on from the Jazz Festival at the end of July and extends for 2 weeks in early August which all takes place within a short distance from our holiday rental apartment along with the Actors and musicians performances of the history of the Chateau on La Castellada.
September guests in ourapartment for rent in Nice allows them to enjoy all the local attractions as well as the Fete du Port on the first Saturday of September where traffic is closed off giving music, drinking, dancing, traditional foods and traditional fishing boats give free rides across the port bay.
The Fete de Catherine Segurane celebrates the defender of patron saint of Nice, where a local washerwoman, Catherine Segurane, caused the Turks to abandon their 1543 seige of the city by flashing her bare bottom at them and all from the Chateau which is a walk from our rental apartment where locals join in a candle-lit procession in her honour through the Old Town on 7 September to make your holiday even more memorable.
October's Fete de Ste-Reparate in Nice's Old Town celebrates its patron saint day on 7 October with masses, processions, dancing and music.
In December our holiday apartment is often booked by participants in Nice is the Regates Internationales de Star de Noel for a top level competition for France's most important sailing regatta title. Of course Place Massena is the focus of Christmas decorations, including a full ice rink, Christmas village, big wheel, and celebration live music performances leading the fireworks on New Year's eve.

Holiday travel to our holiday rental apartment from Nice International Airport Cote d'Azue is where most guests arrive from the modern 2-terminal airport where your holidays in Nice begin at this the 2nd largest airport in France offering a wide range of flights from all over Europe, USA and many other long haul destinations. Airport for carrier information can be obtained on line.
Our holiday apartment letting is a short walk to the beach where the Airport bus passes every 20 minutes from Nice International costing €4 for an all day ticket than can take you anywhere in the Alpes Maritimes region. The excellent transport infrastructure in Nice provides Bus travel taking you all over the Cote d'Azure, and beyond - clean, comfortable and at €1 per trip, it is relatively cheap where you get to Monaco in 25 minutres along a beautiful blue coast line.
You can easily travel by the high speed TGV train from Paris to Nice , via Marseilles and has links into much of Europe including Spain & Italy with the Nice train station being just a 7 minute walk from our holiday apartment for rent in Nice, or simply take the Nice Tram just one block away from our holiday property and one stop from the train station.
The Nice tram services traverses the North and South West of Nice. The tram is silent and may be picked up yards from our Holiday Rental Apartment every 7 minutes at a cost of 1€.
Arriving by private or car rental, on the roads to Nice, you can reach our Nice Vacation Holiday Rental apartment via the A8 motorway, taking exit No.50 "Promenade des Anglais". Follow this straight run along our beautiful beach front towards central Nice, you turn off to Place Massena. Car Parking exists throughout Nice.
Our holiday accommodation is very close to public car parking facilities and car rental hire companies in Nice and we provide parking information to all of those arriving by car. Public parking costs around €90/week. However, some car Hire companies offer free parking.
Arrival by sea is possible from Nice Port which is just 1.5 km from our holiday vacation apartment where your rental ideal leaves you close to ferry transport where numerous ferries leave Nice port for daily trips to St.Tropez or further afield in Corsica.

“Lovely apartment ideally located” This really is a lovely, central apartment very nicely appointed - as it is a top floor apartment the bedrooms are mezzanine and therefore not full height - if you have anyone taller than 5ft 2ins they will spend time hunched over whilst in the bedroom, we had 3 people over 6ft and lots of bumped heads! It is right on Place Massena and ideal for exploring everything Nice has to offer - we didn't hire a car and found public transport cheap and easy to use. The day before we arrived we received an email to say that there had been a plumbing incident and the apartment would not be available for our first night but an alternative was offered. The alternative really wasn't of an acceptable standard, very tired and furnishings were grubby - the agent couldn't offer anything better and resorted to using personal issues in an effort to convince us that we should just put up with what was on offer - it was evident that there was more to the availability issue than a plumbing problem as when we got to the apartment the next day it was obvious that the toilet that was supposedly being replaced was not a new one and the leak in the hall certainly wasn't a recent issue - having said that we negotiated some compensation and then enjoyed the rest of our weekend.

My family and I spent a fantastic time in this apartment and the views are breath-taking with the morning sun rolling round the apartment for the whole day and the night sky is wonderful. We found it relaxing totally and always looked forward to our return from a wonderful day out sightseeing. This area is so central and yet it feels really French. We will definitely return for a longer stay. Thank you so much for your care and attention to detail during our stay.
