The apartment with pool and panoramic sea views, 75 square meters of living space (excluding the balconies) is an ideal base to relax in or to explore and visit the Cote D'Azur being just a few minutes from shops, restaurants and bars. It has a large private south facing balcony overlooking the beach at the front (25 square meters)with panoramic sea views and a further small balcony to the rear, just off the kitchen. With marble, parquet and tiled floors throughout, a lounge overlooking the sea, separate dining room/second bedroom and a full double bedroom there is adequate space for up to 5 people. There are bed settees in the 2nd bedroom and lounge. A fully tiled shower room with W.C and wash handbasin, and a separate washroom with WC is available. The kitchen has all amenities including dishwasher, fridge freezer, hotplate, small electric oven, microwave as well as all cutlery and crockery and a table and chairs. The apartment has WIFI internet connection and a phone for incoming calls. There is gas central heating. TV with international satellite stations including Sky news, BBC news, CNN, Bein sports, golf channel, film channels,, etc.
The private and secure grounds make an ideal relaxing place to stay, and are complemented by a 25 metre swimming pool with children's paddle area off to one side. The pool complies with French law and is surveyed. Open from Mid May until the end of September the pool complements the apartment and private secure landscaped grounds to the domaine, whilst the Mediterranean Sea just opposite the apartment with its beaches, both private and public makes a great place to relax, eat or for the more energetic enjoy the water sports available in the summer months. The promenade in front of the apartment is great for those who like to walk, skate; roller board or ride and bikes can be hired on the front including a bike for up to 4 people!! The apartment has its own garage in the grounds and there is plenty of on street parking if needed.
Used as a great place to relax, watch the water sports that take place just opposite or go and try them yourselves, the apartment is a great place to stay. Or enjoy the luxury of the open air pool whilst meeting some of the other residents in the domaine or their guests. Or just wander down to one of the many restaurants and bars for a quiet drink and relax enjoying the stunning views of the Mediterranean all within a two minute walk from this second floor apartment. Its also ideal for visiting the Riviera by train, with services from Cagnes station a 10 minute walk away to Nice, Cannes, Antibes, Monte Carlo and even Ventimiglia just over the border in Italy, an hours train ride away and with a popular Friday market. Or drive inland to visit the villages of St Paul, Vence, Valbonne, Mougins and Biot all within a few minutes drive.

The apartment is well maintained and decorated and has excellent standards throughout. Marble, parquet and tiled floors. All crockery and utensils provided as well as linen and towels except beach towels. All utility services are included in the price including an end of stay clean. There is a hall, with double doors through to the lounge, with a dining room bedroom which can be separated via a sliding screen from the lounge. Both have sea vistas and share the front balcony of 20 square meters. There is a second large double bedroom, both bedrooms having built in wardrobes. There is a large shower room with large corner shower, wash handbasin and WC and a separate WC with wash handbasin. Off an inner hall is the kitchen diner with a further rear balcony, ideal for drinks in the early evening.

Situated directly on the sea front with magnificent 180 degree sea views and a large front balcony (20 square meters) for sunbathing or relaxing as well as rear balcony (6 square meters), two bedrooms both with wardrobes and a further hall wardrobe; There are two balconies, one facing the sea and the other to the rear off the kitchen. Both balconies have awnings. The apartment has full central heating only needed only rarely in the winter months and a secure garage if required. There are plenty of books provided as well as board games and maps of the town and area. The TV has English speaking UK channels.

The grounds are fully maintained and landscaped with mature palm trees as well as Mediterranean trees and plants. As well as including the swimming pool which is fenced and surveyed by a life guard there is also children's area within the pool and plenty of space for sunbathing for those who don't wish to use the sea and beach. In addition there is a petanque court. Please note the pool is open from normally from Mid May until mid September, last year opening at the beginning of May. There is also a play area in the grounds being developed for those who wish to play petanque or just sit and chat with the locals!
The apartment block sits on the coast road and therefore it is easy to get to Nice, Cannes or Antibes by car but the train station is just 10 minutes away and has connections to both and further afield, if you don't want to drive. There is an underground garage for parking the car with the apartment, with electric door.
Rental is subject to booking form and payment in advance. Midweek to Midweek stays out of season are welcome and rental up to 3 months is possible. Peak July and August rentals are Saturday to Saturday only.
Payment can be made using inernet banking in the UK, over the counter at any branch of Barclays or international bank transfer. Or by Credit Card payment (Visa and Mastercard) which will incur a 4% surcharge for using PayPal online payment system.
A refundable security bond of 300 Euros or £270 is required - discounts on reservations of three weeks or longer only can be offered - please ask for details.
The swimming pool is normally open from mid May through to mid September. It is only available to those owners or renting an apartment. There are wrist bands provided for guests using the pool for identification purposes.
The apartment is not suitable for very small children under the age of 5. Sorry but no pets allowed. Smoking is permitted outside the apartment.
The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Alpes-Maritimes region
The Riviera stretches out before you from the front balcony, with views to the horizon to East, South and West. The apartment is centrally located giving great access either via car to the Nice, Menton, Monte Carlo and the Italian riviera, or to the east for Antibes, Juan les Pins, Cannes and St Tropez. Alternatively the coastal rail line is just a 10 minute walk from the apartment which serves most towns to east and west on the Riviera. Or you could just relax and enjoy the apartment, the beach or the 25 meters swimming pool.
The beach has both public and private areas with some lovely beach restaurants where you can hire a lounger for the day and be waited on, listening to the sea lapping on the beach. Or enjoy the beachside restaurants or hire bikes and family tandems for enjoying the kilometers of promenade Cagnes has to offer. There is also a small port used by locals and visitors and much enjoyed and fequented by jet skiers.
The fishing port of Cros de Cagnes, a 10 minute walk down the promenade, is interesting in the early mornings when the fisherman still land their catches; as is the old town of Cagnes with its cobbled streets and chateau. Both are within a good walk. Also a must visit is Renoir's house in Cagnes where you can see where he lived and worked, ie. his studio and visit the beautiful grounds with their views over the town and coast.
There is also plenty to see and do just within walking distance of the apartment, whether it be using one of the private or public beaches where you can relax all day with the sound of the waves lapping at your feet.
The old town or the fishing port provide interesting places to explore, but visit Renoirs old house sent amongst the olive trees and see how he worked, the house being preserved as it was when the famous painter was alive. The views are worth seeing to.
The shopping is varied and attractive, the indoor market though small, well worth seeing on busy mornings, found of the main square in Cagnes town, about a 10 to 15 minute walk away from the apartment.
The Nice / Cagnes Sur Mer area
The area has many festivals from the Mardi Gras festival in Nice in February through to the Gross Tetes festival and parade in the summer. Cannes of course has its film festival and Juan les Pins its late summer Jazz festivals. There are many others on a year round basis.
Cagnes itself is split into 3 parts, the main town with all its modern shops and indoor daily market a five minute walk away, the old town with its chateau museum made famous by Renoir and the fishing port of Cagnes just along the coast. Nearby is the Hippodrome horse racing course and golf courses can be found within 23 minutes. Needless to say there are a number of Marinas where sailing can be found as well as diving. In winter the pre Alpes plays home to a number of popular ski resorts the nearest being one hours drive. In Antibes, there is the old walled sea town or the modern yachting port to visit, as well as a thriving town full of shops and restaurants. A must in Antibes is the Picasso museum where the life and works of the artists life whilst here is on display. Enjoy the covered market most mornings including Sundays and watch local and tourists alike mingal in this typically French market.
The apartment is also a few minutes away from the walled village of St Paul de Vence, with its many cobbled streets filled with shops and restaurants where the rich and famous like to mingle, many having houses and villas on the outskirts of the village. Biot, a village just 5 minutes drive away also has a good local range of shops, but is particularly well known for its glass making. Visit the glass museum to see pieces of art you won't believe can be made of glass, nor will you believe the prices they can fetch!!
The glass making village of Biot is 5 minutes by car and the pottery town of Vallauris is 20 minutes away just inland from Golf Juan, the other side of Antibes. The villages inland of Mougins, Valbonne and of course Vence town are also worth visiting. Easy access by train from Cagnes connects to Cannes, Antibes and Nice as well as Villefranche, Monte Carlo and into Italy at Ventigmilia for its vaste Friday market. Isola 2000 the winter ski resort is just an hours drive away.
Nice is just a 20 minute drive as is Antibes in the opposite direction. Inland is the beautiful hilltop Provencal village of St Paul, just 15 minutes away by car.

Situated just 15 mins by taxi from Nice Airport which is served by national and international airlines as well as many low cost airlines including Easyjet, Ryanair, BMI Baby, as well as British Airways, Air France, etc. Car hire is available at Nice Airport from several companies including Europcar, Avis, etc Antibes is just 20 minutes by car. There are always local taxis available at approx 25 Euros and bus services to Cagnes sur Mer. Restaurants, shops and a weekly market within a few hundred meters. TGV train services to Nice and Antibes from Paris.
The railway station at Cagnes sur Mer is also just 10 minutes walk and has direct links with Nice, Antibes, Cannes, Monte Carlo and Italy.
