Located on the second floor in an elegant bourgeois building with a nice classical French facade, it is 88 square metres in size. The interior offers high ceilings, old solid front doors, shiny wooden floors in the two bedrooms, the living room and the dining area. Nice location between the Mediterranean and the sheltering Alpes Maritimes ensures that winter is comparatively warm (avarage 12°C/53 F° December-March, and rarely below 5°C/41 F°) and summer not too hot (peaking in July and August at an avarage 24°C/75 F°, though on some days it can reach nearly 30°C/86 F°). If you are into sports there is a great variety of activities such as beach & watersports (jet ski, parascending, windsurfing, scuba diving etc), golf, riding, hiking in the mountains, jogging or cycling along the Promenade des Anglais. For the culturally intrersted there are a number of great museums such as the museum of contemporary art and the Chagall museum. Or why not just relax and enjoy the city with all the shops, restaurants and bars.
Nice / Carre d'Or area
The apartment is situated just a 2 minute walk from the famous Promenade des Anglais, the seaside promenade that stretches 4 miles around the Baie des Anges, it has been a favourite for leisurely moments since the turn of last century. Always covered with flowers, this wonderful walk looks out onto the beaches on one side, and luxury hotels such as the Negresco on the other. At all hours, people come here to watch the sea, sunbath, jog and roller skate. Nearby you will find Rue de France, the pedestrian shopping street which runs roughly parallel to the seaside. This area is full of shops, including some exclusive clothing boutiques, and restaurants and cafés with outdoor terraces - a great place to sit and watch the world go by, while you eat or drink.
How to get there
The apartment is situated about 8 km from the international airport in Nice. By car or public transportations it takes about 10 minutes to reach the apartment. The habour is just about 1 km away. There you can catch a ferry that takes you to Corsica. A trip to the beautiful city of Calvia takes about 3 hours and there are several departures every day. If you come by train the apartment is in walking distance. After arriving at the train station you walk straight towards the Mediterranean Sea and reach the apartement in only a few minutes.
