Our comfortably furnished ,2nd floor,1 bedroom apartment is just off Bd Joseph Garnier in a predominantly French/Italian quarter of Nice, perfectly situated for all amenities with excellent shops, restaurants and an extensive vibrant street market. It is a 25 minute walk to the seafront, 10 minutes by taxi from the airport and there are at least 3 bus routes nearby serving most of Nice, including airport. The new tramway, inaugurated in November 2007stops within 200 metres of the apartment. and it is about a 5 minute journey to the main Place Massena/Old Town. Trams run every few minutes until about midnight.
The apartment, which is light and airy, has a large double bedroom, a living room with sofa bed, a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom with bath/shower, WC and washing machine and is well decorated throughout. it is centrally heated throughout the winter months.There is a terrace with french windows leading from both the living room and the kitchen

Nice has much to offer, the beaches, food, museums, art galleries, the night life, there is plenty to keep one occupied. Near the port and hilltop chateau is Vieux Nice, the old town, with its maze of narrow streets, many squares, little restaurants and fascinating shops. There is also the weekday flower and vegetable market in the Cours Saleya.
Within easy reach of Nice are many other resorts such as Antibes, Cannes, Menton and Monte Carlo and a trip into Italy to the border town of Ventimiglia is well worth a visit on a Friday for its extensive street market. Trips inland could include St Paul de Vence, Grasse and the single track rail trip into the mountains is one not to miss.

This is our second trip to Nice but the first to your apartment. Thank you both for your kindness in meeting us and giving us all the handy tips about trams and buses. The apartment is so well equipped, you have really thought of everything .
